You have made Wintersday into a NIGHTMARE fest of idiocy. The only good option to acquire enough ‘GIFTS" is the Jumping puzzle. And there in lies the ANOTHER HUGE INJUSTICE.
To allow characters to bring Charr’s and Norns into and area that already has very small to very narrow canes is beyond ridiculous.
I didn’t buy this game for a grind fest, nor to have a nightmare time acquiring “GIFTS” for 10,000 drinks..
Its one thing if you could at least have present drops in Tikk or Toy, from killing all the npcs.. but NO, we are only given a small amount for an incredible amount of time and energy.
Shame on who ever came up with that.
Have the decency to fix the Wintersday jumping puzzle so all characters are the same size.. Make them elves or some such as you did in the Halloween jumping puzzle.
Have the decency to stop the miserable grinding, start thinking of your player base before your player base starts looking for games that are more enjoyable.

Sick and tired of the grind, you’re taking away all the fun in this game, you truly are.

Ahh the casuals rant again.

1: This is not grind. The achievement is a totally avoidable thing that you do not have to complete for the meta and the new shoulder skin is only a skin… not new stats or instakill powers.

2: The bigger issue above character models in the jumping puzzle is fixing the bugs so that we can actually enter it. Character size has little to no effect in this jumping puzzle as far as i know after completing it on all the difference races.

3: The beauty of GW2 is that you don’t have to do strictly one thing in order to progress. You don’t NEED to do the jumping puzzle in order to get your wintersday gifts. It may yield the biggest rewards but in reality other events would probably give you more presents seeing as you clearly have issues completing the JP perfectly every time to get the desired amount of presents.

It’s hard to jump when you are a little Asuran totally obscured by a fat charr or norn.

+1 for 10,000 grind point. What were they thinking? GW2 is now truely the MMO of Grind. And they won’t fix it despite all the feedback.

• I can’t do the JP either, but I’m not blaming the size of other toons. I am perfectly incompetent with or without others running the same lane.
• You don’t have to grind if you don’t want to. The premium skin is optional and costs about the same as other premium skins have in the past. The only reason to grind is if you are in a rush to get that single skin.

guild wars died when guild wars 2 was released. guild wars 2 is now all about how little can we put into the game while maximizing what we put into the gemstore and still keep players. this is mapplestory 2.0 to say the least.

I made those 10k drinks by running fractals… 1 set of daily = appriximately 1 stack. run 40 dailies (i’ve done so about now) and you have 10k drinks… having had mighty fun in the process…

If you are so sick and tired of the grind fest… STOP GRINDING… there’s no need for it… and no reason to do so… the only reason why you grind is because the whole rest of the gaming community have taught you how to grind… you have to go unlearn that if you want to enjoy this game…
Its like exploring the map… some of the vista you cant just run straight to… you’ll have to take a different approach…

I don’t understand how char size affect this jumping puzzle. It’s a big space. Platform you jump on is large.

If this jp is horribly small cave. Feel free to complain about that.

I understand that people need some easy target to blame their fall. I still don’t understand why every “grind” thread have to sound like Anet choke them to get this item in 3 days.

I don’t jump after big fat Norn or Charr – honestly you ask if this really has got any effect? Didn’t do the jumping puzzle much, did you?
You have to be really concentrated to do the JP – I often feel as if my toon alone distracts people, although I’m not on my big fat Charr.
The JP counts as PvP, yet “standard model” doesn’t apply.

ETA I completed the JP 249 times – and have been called a bot today for no idea what reason – this event really gets the best of people.

Seriously, don’t let it ruin your Christmas.

In fact, just don’t do it.

The more you do it, the more Anet will think you like it and the more of them they will continue to make, in future… :/
