As i see all those complaining topics in the forum as how boring and/or difficult the wintersday-games/-grind is i get really suspicious if i missed something. there must be a reward i overlooked that is worth all the effort and tears.

I mean I tried the jumping puzzle once and fell of short after beginning and also totally screwed up on the guitar-hero-clone-thing.
The only thing i found entertaining for once, though a bit to long, was the toypocalypse.

So i decided wintersday is not for me and i go back to game content i actually enjoy. Nevertheless i was curious what kind of shinies i would miss and looked it up on dulfy. The only thing i found was that skin for some rediculous, invisible shoulderskin that gives your character a snow effect.
And it hit me. Is THIS it? That one thing everyone is craving for? Really? I don’t get it.
That is why i open this topic and ask if i miss any actually desirable loot? Well, on the other hand i seem to be one of a few that hates those wings…

Haha, I like your post and I agree. Yesterday I travelled to Divinity’s Reach for the first time and was greatly underwhelmed.

I like the present boxes (with skritts) that you can find in old Tyria though.

Yes, those shoulders are THE thing for reasons unknown to me too. :P

So no, you are not missing anything.

Some nice titles that can be gotten relatively easily ( Finder’s Keepers for example – follow dolyak and pick up presents it drops ), item that gives you 10k Karma if you do a Frostgorge Sound event 3 times, free food from Wintersday Presents that you can either sell or hoard, plus the drinks you can either guzzle or sell.

There is also Warming Grawnk’s Heart. It will give you a Wintersday Tree node for your home instance, if you do the entire thing ( which again, includes jumping puzzles ).

I’ve mulled it over for myself too.

I think this is the result of the armor starvation we’ve been having. When something new and shiny finally pops up, people are all over it.

Well that and I have the perfect ensemble for a over the top kitsch Christmas tree Sylvari thief. I’ll falala all over Tyria, let me tell you!
