I was doing the JP a little while ago and people were arguing in the map chat. Mostly it was about large sized characters doing the JP, but also someone said something about not pre-jumping because it messes it up for others. I’ve seen people doing this, but I don’t see how it messes it up for others. I’ve jumped behind someone who pre-jumped and it didn’t mess anything up for me. Am I missing something?

Also, why are there sometimes targets over people’s heads? It’s very distracting to me.

I’ve searched for the answers to these questions and haven’t been able to find anything, so if this has already been covered, I apologize.

its Psychological thing, in real life they would be nervous to immediately follow someone at risk of screwing themselves and that person, so in turn they expect the same. Its people being people man, That’s it in a nutshell.

Pre-jumping is almost definitely referring to the presents after Tixx, and people jumping straight to the square ones instead of waiting for the blue rectangles to spawn. It’s a longer jump and that causes more people to fail it, they would rather everyone waited for the blue presents to spawn to decrease their chance of falling.

Since it’s a pvp instance with everyone on the same team (although they appear as enemies,) whenever someone calls a target, the marker is visible to all.

Thank you both for your answers.

I haven’t even made it to Tixx yet, so I thought they were talking about the snowflakes! lol

Okay, good to know.

Actually, people are complaining about jumpers who jump before front square ones spawn, not the blue rectangles.

The moment someone lands on a present, the countdown begins. That is why most people jump at same time when front square ones appear; in order to give all a fair chance at succeeding. Pre-jump is a selfish move.

Also, presents spawn randomly and I have seen many pre-jumpers jumping into nothing and die.

Since no one actually waits, I don’t know what this is talking about. I jump when the presents are available. Waiting is just asking for someone else to do it and to mess up the timing.
