Part of the advertisement for the Wintersday Event reads "… Show him (Grawnk) what the holidays are all about and bring smiles to the children’s faces to earn a Wintersday Tree for your home instance.

I looked on the wiki and it stated we could make the Wintersday tree and “..Deposit this decoration in the guild’s decoration storage.”

So, is the Wintersday tree only for guild decoration only, or can you get one for your home instance (or both)?

Both. It is a new decoration that scribes can make for guild halls. But there is another you can earn for your home instance. The one you earn for your instance grants you a daily Wintersday Gift if you remember to harvest it.
