Just had a look at the Grenth hood in the pvp locker.

On charr it clips with every chestpiece. Literally every single one
and this is on the default body proportions.

On humans it clips on some, among others the dredge chestplate, the nightmare chestplate and the very popular arah chestplate on heavy.

Magitech coat, flame legion coat, orrian coat and nightmare coat on medium

Orrian vest, tactical vest and flame legion vest on light armor
as well as many shoudlerpieces across all armor classes.

Calm yourself. There was a similar issue with the gas mask, Anet has been pretty good on fixing the clipping issues with Anet, just very slowly, lots of chest armor fixed tail clipping

I’m just surprised this is a modern day cash shop skin, when the artists should already have a grasp about their game.

lol and people keep asking for capes like it ’ain’t no thing’. Well, here’s why they haven’t done it yet.

To get a cape to work they would need active collision detection on a rather high poly cloth mesh to keep it from being a clipping nightmare. Multiply that by 40 or 50 people in a single area (or up to ~180 in wvw) with the capes on and lag will take on a whole new meaning.

This is exactly why we can’t have capes.

It’s not as bad as the floating charr shield.
