Wish more official graphic settings
It’s not “officially” approved by Anet, and it’s not forbidden either. Anet understands that some people want to use 3rd party apps, and they are ok with it. But only if certain conditions are being met. Sweetfx is one that does meet those conditions.
However Anet did make sort of a response concerning SweetFX.

I will never use third party apps no matter what. As thread title states, I wish Arena.Net to add more official in-game graphic settings, some which could resemble to what I saw in that video.
You do realize that programs like SweetFX are basically a client side graphics overlay right? Sure you don’t have to use any 3rd party apps, and that is your choice. (I was pointing out that some 3rd party apps are ok to use, and not that they were all not allowed. That simply isn’t the case).
However, they could certainly add in more graphics settings, but those settings being native won’t ever have the same “finesse” that you can find using 3rd party apps.

SweetFX is absolutely fine, as pdavis points out it is clientside. It doesn’t give any kind of gameplay advantage and to my knowledge there’s no way for Anet to know if you’re using it (and they wouldn’t care if you are because it doesnt alter how you play the game).
OP, do you use any VoIP apps? Teamspeak, Mumble, Ventrilo, etc? Or maybe something like Overwolf?
These are all 3rd party apps as well, and are all safe to use, one could even go so far to say that these are “approved” as Devs to refer to TS and did have a GW2 Overwolf app contest not to long ago.

That video is striking, but I have to wonder what graphics settings are used on the left side. My game on max settings looks pretty much like the SweetFX Enabled stuff on the right side. Lots of crisp detail and nice lighting.
So for me the game seems fine without 3rd party tweaking. I already get what the OP is requesting be provided.
