With Lion’s Arch under construction, and being upgraded instead of just rebuilt, any word if Claw Island will get some upgrades? I’d also like to travel there outside of just two story instances.

I dont care if it gets upgraded or not(which would be nice) but i would like to go there again. It was a neat island that i think is pretty wasted since ya can only go there in those few instances.

I agree with Dante, it’d be cool to visit Claw Island outside of the Personal Story to check it all out unimpeded. And now that I think about it it would also make sense from a lore perspective. Since Claw Island is the forward defense for LA, why not rebuild it, too?

Claw island didn’t get destroyed and remains intact. I actually think that it will loose functionality. Zaithan shown that LA is good enough defended against attacks from the sea, even if the island is fallen. Scarlet shown that the new technology of airships is the vulnarabillity. As claw island is only functional for protection against attacks from sea, it will likely become redundant when the new defenses are ready.

Yeah, the island was pretty useless in the past. Scarlet went over it, the Karka went under/around it, and the risen went through it. Which is why it needs the defense upgrades that the city is getting. A few turrets, (maybe) an airship, or even an asura gate for emergencies.
These were all set up at Camp Resolve pretty fast, no reason the island can’t be fortified as welI.
And whether it’s through a boat or a gate, it could be attached to LA like Dawnside Quay is to Rata Sum.
