I am extremely sad that I lost my Wizard’kitten ( [&AgFljwAA] ) which was available only during Winterstday of 2012. It would be really cool to make it permanently obtainable again in game, looks just so cool. And I am sure people would love it
You almost certainly won’t get a response from the designers. Even if they agree with you they won’t say so, they’ll just add it to the game at some point.
But I agree. IMO everyone should be able to get every skin in the game.
Before anyone starts I don’t mean it should be easy, just possible. For example I think the Hall of Monuments skins are fine. Sure you have to buy another game, complete most of it and grind for extra items to get enough points to get all the skins, which is a lot of work. But it’s not impossible.
The wizards hat on the other hand is impossible to get now. Which IMO is unfair. It would be really nice if it became available again, maybe in the same format – a free give away during Wintersday.

This is what make a game fun and makes it unique, not everyone should get every thing if you didn’t play at the time that the item was available you can’t get it. I have been playing this game from the beginning and I don’t have all the special event items because I didn’t have the time to complete the event and get the unique item. You don’t see me posting in the forum that I should have a chance to get what I missed. This isn’t how life works, try going to the lottery commission and ask “I didn’t buy a ticket but I think I should win anyway” see how fare that will get all you entitlement people.

No it doesn’t kid. Some people still have to go to job every day and bring food to the table, instead playing video games whole day and letting their parents do all the job for them. This game is designed for casual players from beginning, so what you just said is invalid. The hat should be available again, if ANET even gives a bit s…. for us…

I attended Wintersday 2012. I must have deleted the hat or something.
It wasn’t directly part of Wintersday, it was a free give-away in the gem store during the festival, like the devil horns from Halloween.
It’s possible you didn’t pick one up. It’s also possible you did, had it equipped on a character and haven’t taken them to the Black Lion Armorer to get their town clothes converted into armor skins for the wardrobe. Since you can’t see the town clothes slots any more it’s impossible to see what you had there until you convert them.
