Would you compare the attainment of a legendary weapon to attaining the “Insane in the Membrane” achievement in WoW?

I haven’t gotten that achievement personally, but I wanted to, but it was literally insane. Like truly insane. So I want to know how attaining a legendary weapon compares to an “Insane” title.

I quit WoW before achievements started coming in… But legendary items in WoW were worth the “grind”. Hell, Thunderfury had it’s own event tied to it.

You also have to factor in that these items, in WoW, are usually waaaayyyy better than what you can get. Thunderfury was so good, you had level 80s still running dungeons/raids with it in Burning Crusade expansion. Atiesh was godly relative to other staves you could pick up when Naxx first came out and it had the portal feature which was neat.

The legendary could be picked up as you were progressing your guild’s collective gear. So it’s not like you were necessarily hunting exclusively for that piece/item… it’s a nice pick up though.

I’m not sure how legendary items are in current-WoW… but I’m pretty sure if they’re only as good as something you could get crafting or a 5 man, but you could only get the item in a raid setting…. Very few people would go for it.

Your response had nothing to do with what the op asked. And bc level cap was 70. But onto the subject.

I say it’s a pretty accurate comparison. I’m not sure which would be more costly since the pre req weapon prices keep skyrocketing but you do have a chance to get one via the mystic forge. Compare that to you having to either farm lock boxes (would take you forever) or having to buy thousands of the kitten things. There is less rng involved in the rep grinds for the insane title but there’s a considerable more amount of grinding.

I guess the biggest difference is you can buy your way through most of the achieve in wow if you have the gold. Whereas a legendary in gw2 requires you to do a fair amount of grinding.
