So I was fighting Shadow Behemoth, then got disconnected.. I come back in game.. in the same spot.. but no boss is there.. This was within 30 seconds.. the boss was no where near dead.. and I was on a server with a few people standing around.

Ok so what happened?

Megaserver, you came back but you came back to a different shard, instance of Queensdale.

I tried to logout and back on to see if I could get onto the same server… does this mean if im on a different megaserver now.. I can repeat bosses ive already done?

When you get disconnected from a megaserver, when logging back in, you will be moved to the emptiest server matching your criteria (home/guested server + guild/friends). If you’re quick, as in less than 1s, you will log back in to the server you were on.

If you log back in and the boss was killed, if it has been less than 10 minutes from the event’s start time, you can attempt to guest to another server in an attempt to join a different map. One of the higher pop servers is usually good.

Once you’ve received credit for the event, regardless of if you looted the chest, you can no longer obtain that boss chest for the day. The chest on the ground is character bound while the bonus chest is account bound. It is possible to hop servers to complete the same event multiple times, but you will not receive the rewards.

And if you are “to late” joining a map instance, you likely end up on a fresh map that did not existed when the pre boss event should have happen. Resulting in no boss for this instance. World bosses cause massive player movements, causing a lot of brand new instances wasted afterwards.

Sometimes it helps to be in a group, because then you will moved to the same map version your group members are, if the map is not hardcapped (totally full) in the meantime.

I saw you in game earlier. You seem to be DCing a lot. Might want to check with your ISP to see if anything is up. Or upgrade to a new gaming PC.

I run on a 315 Mbps connection.. so I know that isn’t the problem. As far as gaming computer.

i7 4930K OC to 4.5 Ghz

So I know neither of that is my problem

You might try posting over in Tech Support, or creating a Tech Support ticket. There are lots of suggestions about disconnecting often there.

I’m not sure the speed of your internet connection assures staying connected. Else those of us on slow speeds would disconnect often. I think I’ve disconnected less than 5 times in two years, and I don’t have a speedy ISP connection. Might have something to do with the Ports allowed, I’ve often seen that suggestion when players have disconnection issues. You can read about it over in Tech Support.
