Is Anet ever going to make world bosses or at least most of them even harder such as Tequatl? i mean yes if you farming champions maybe a hard boss will consume your time but is too bad the fact that a gigantic boss can be killed in less than 7-8 mins (sometimes even by just AFKing) when you were expecting an epic and fun battle!

You seem to be trying to imply Tequatl is epic or fun ….
We are probably not playing the same game.

I agree that world bosses should be more engaging and challenging to fight than just showing up to the event and pressing 1.

However, Tequatl isn’t really the best way to go forward with it, IMO. I like his new fight mechanics, but it places too much emphasis on having enough players show up to even have a chance of defeating him.

I believe if they do make them Teq level difficulty, the area will be a ghost land just like Teq with a dedicated guild taking him down and very few servers even attempts.

Double true if they do it throught a Living Story sequence.

They should have more mechanics than being another numbers game. Everything in this game is turning into a numbers game.

maybe indeed adding more mechanics is the answer, although i enjoy tequatl every single time but thats personal preference…. i do many world bosses every day and the truth is the ones that are not challenging are the ones im really getting bored, from the other hand there are guilds that kill teq everyday even twice per day the problem is they always do that at overflows where and this makes it hard to other players join in…

Having to be in a specific guild and be on at a specific time of day (even with multiple options) kills Tequatl, for me. The event itself is pretty cool…. maybe an extra few minutes and scaled down to 30-40 minimum instead of 80 would help?

Now, I clean her toenails until the Krait come along at the end and down me, when Tequatl is a daily achievement. Other than that, I never see her anymore

Well if they turn other dragons events into Teq. I will be one less player doing those events and it will be yet another kitten in my support for this game. The kittens are building up at a steady rate atm.

Edit: Lol why is kitten….a bad word?

OMG! nvm, maybe dent will be accepted?

The Tequatl fight is still standing in one spot auto attacking an immovable enemy for the majority of the people there and maybe spam whatever skill is off cooldown since it’s just a DPS race for those people. There is the shockwave to jump over but that is not much different from dodging red circles. The people on the turrets have to pay a bit more attention.

The fight feels more gimmicky than epic or fun. Yeah there is a blob of people but if you want blobs then just go to WvW. Plenty of those on many servers.

I don’t know if I trust their particular brand of “difficulty”

The fact Claw still does that annoying fear spam bs blows my mind each and every time. Who came up with that? Why? I’ve always thought “fear” was a stupid mechanic in any game, but it’s a billion times more baffling here because it’s not like it poses any danger to the player. You can’t fall off of anything. If you somehow get downed during it, there’s an infinite amount of people to rez you. It just prolongs the fight for no good reason.

But, I digress. Personally, i don’t think they should get all willy nilly with messing around with the difficulty yet. Their track record for such a thing isn’t exactly spotless….at all.

The Shadow Behemoth’s telegraphed ability with that shard that you can dodge with your eyes closed should one shot people. For such a forsaken and terrible creature according to the danger! sign he sure does die fast.

Guild Wars 2 is not a sequel to the original Guild Wars but merely an alternative story setting.

Players set a clear signal to ANet: The new Tequatl is a failure.

Most of the time (on my server all of the time) he is sitting in his cage for 15 minutes untouched.

I am all for harder boss fights, but with proper scaling and an event chain (and probably kicking all the afker around)…

We’ll see if this is actually true or not. My bet is that it didn’t send any signal and the next revamps are on the same level as Tequalt and world bosses will just sit there for 15 minutes untouched after the initial 2 weeks since they’ll probably be introduced through the Living Story.

This might be a shock for 99% of gw2 playerbase but world bosses, at least temple bosses in Orr, are challenging and fun.

When you try to do them with five or less people. Zerging and range combat simply promotes laziness (that’s still an understatement).

What most of the population would do if they had to kill world boss with just few people? They would ask for more people on map chat. And that’s just sad…

I have a life outside of gw2, I like just rocking up to bosses, pressing 1 and going afk.

If you want harder content, why not ask for hardcore dungeon modes or something to be implement so that you can kitten around with harder content while others can do the training wheels mode.

I liked temple events and the old Orr. But they sort of got old. At least you can go there with a small number of players and win.

The new and shiny Tequatl though, that got redone for the better is a horrible zerg fest, which you can only win with a zerg of around 100 people…

I welcome you to attempt meleeing Statue of Dwayna by going AFK. It’s actually quite an interesting fight when you aren’t in a group of 100 people. In fact I want Statue added to Arah exp mode!

i don’t disagree with you. but you can’t really compare temple events to dragon one or any world bosses for that matter, simply coz of their sheer size. Targeting such gigantic bosses is very difficult even with ranged let alone with melee.

Temple bosses are world bosses. What you mean are epic bosses. Reference
