Hi everyone,

After i did my 9th 100% World Completion within the 1st year , i was really curious who else did more than 3 100% World Completions….. Loads of People have +10 levels 80 etc , but i never hear people talk about going the extra mile on their characters ….I mean u can craft a character in 8 hours ( or even less if i hear others…. ) …. , but to really go through the game , maps , vista’s skillpoints , taskhearts etc over and over again on every profession really lets u know your characters . In my guild (RiOT, SFR server ) reactions were like : u are crazy to do that even more than once in a lifetime …..

Now Plz enlighten me ( and the rest of the playerbase ) and let me know how many times u seen the full extend of the vastly growing and beautiful world known as tyria …..

Really I am just one of those players who focuses their efforts on one main character.

I willed myself through it once, but I could never do it again since it’s an incredible chore to me.

Have 4 done. Working on a 5th. Will probably get it done with 6. Can’t really see myself doing it on my necro, ranger and second ele.

I’ve done it on two characters and have two more than are getting up there. I don’t see myself doing it on more than four characters though.

I’ve done it 6 times, working on 7th (im legendary collector).

I always do map completion with my friend – so its very fun and fast Like 1hr per map or so

Once. That’s all I ever intend to do as there is just not enough motivation to go through it again.

6 so far, 1 with only 2 WvW maps to go then my last char to start on. I have 8 so I can see how every class plays. Why would anyone ever need more than 8? O.O

4 times map completion, 5th on the way (76%), 2 more around 50%, and engineer sitting around 35 %.

As for you question, I have made second set of all classes. Basically to play around with builds, to have at least pair of each race and because I managed to have “idea” for 16 characters to play around with (outfits / Rpg background / builds)

Once, just to get the title. While I will likely get 100% PvE for the other 7 eventually, getting the WvW part for all is more problematic.

Just one for now but World Completion is something I enjoy going for (despite Orr and WvW existing), so I’ll eventually get it on all of my characters.

Just finished my 5th, about 10% away on my 6th… After that I think I’m done. My last two characters are basically miners now that I only play for a few minutes every day to collect. But I couldn’t stand not having the little star on my other characters that I pay regularly, so…

Ty G E O , well it cost me alot of money true , but i also gained alot from all the t1-6 mats i gathered through my completion. enough for a prec ? well i doubt it to be honest …. but ty for the compliment though on my achievement . Someone mentioned the fact that they saw no reason for 9 completions since there are only 8 professions , well u are quite right , if not for the fact that i first made a norn guardian , finished that to 100% and then thought …. nah….. i like a tiny asuran guardian better ……

actually the 2 lowbies on my account ( a charr ranger and a sylvari guardian , lol yes a 3rd ) im planning to have them also 100 % worldcomplete before december 31st 2013.. that way i can have some fun time playing and gathering for their crafts , the map completion is easy on those professions ……ill keep u informed when operation been there , done that XXl is complete ( with prove screenshot off course )

5 here, problem I have is the desire to do more is simply not there, I do try to get a zone or 2 done a week on a diff toon, when there is nothing going on. I know someday I will get it done. Just not in a hurry.

Yeah, I did this eight characters and it feels very satisfying (did the same in GW1 with all 10 professions). Since you can pretty much go wherever you want and be any class you want. The only semi-major hassle was WvW but after awhile it grew on me. I guess whenever they come out with their next heavy class I will make a 9th character.

Once (almost – waiting on being green in WvW). I don’t think I’ll do it again. I like wandering and getting the poi’s, sp and vistas arent bad IMO. I find the hearts tedious on repeat visits though

Havent done it yet. Might do it on two characters depending on how much gold i make. I almost have enough for one legendary and once i get all the mats ill do exploration last. I find open world pve really really boring.

The exploration in GW2 is so well rewarded, that even when you done it once, you still have a reason to make it again with other chars, thats nice, I’ve done it on one char, but i’m doing my 2nd one. GJ to the OP!

I’ve been pretty heavy on the world exploration and tallied up to around 700% world completion, 3 of my characters have 100% world completion. I’d probably be more willing to do more if WvW wasn’t required. I have 10 80s, so maybe someday I might get a fabled 1000% world completion.

I too have done x 8 100% some time ago now. Then about 6-7 weeks ago i started another alt and i’m at 97% with that one, just got to complete parts of WvW and i’m done.

People would say I’m crazy too for doing it, but the way I see it, I’d be crazy not to. I always complete all pve maps anyway while leveling, which give about 95% completion, so why not get the rest lol? Plus I like to see the star beside each of my characters names. I’d feel like a bit of a cheat wearing that title if they hadn’t actually done it.

I haven’t managed to bring myself to do it once. Maybe if I get super bored with the game I’ll do it, but for now it feels like a carrot on a stick.

I love how the merchants insult you by offering 1g 15s 20c for those. :p

Sure would be interesting to see that gold medal become account bound all of a sudden.

Anyways, just one, very hard to will myself to do the same huge thing twice.

I did it twice, just for the legendaries i am crafting and i found it very boring. Doing the same stuff over and over isn’t my thing. Funny that you didn’t even plan to make a legendary since you still have all the gifts. For me the ultimate goal is to get BiS gear and getting a legendary, i like item hunting.

I can top the op, me and my wife currently have 15 characters with 100% map completion, I have done one more but deleted him and remade for another look… all of them have t 3 armor or dungeon gear of some type and we just play a lot – screenie with my claim too :-P

I’ll definitely do it again once I’m going for my third legendary =() currently still working on my first.

If they ever remove WvW maps from it, I will complete it.

After my 1st one the only world completion I actively attempt is wvw maps and maps that award exotic gear(orr/frostgorge/fireheart). Maybe if they awarded BL keys more I would try other zones but its too much of a hassle for too little returns.

I am working on my 2nd one, have 78% done, am not excited to do Cursed Shore =_= I don’t care about my other 6 characters though my second one will be my final world completion.

0, and unless I want to make my own legendary (provided the new ones are actually going to be good), I wouldn’t even bother with it.

It’s just so… boring… Like really, it’s not even fun or challenging, just time consuming.

I found doing it one time was interesting and fulfilling. Though, the WvW part was quite frustrating as I don’t really like WvW. However, I have no interest on getting completion on my Alts.

Now if I get to about 90+% thru just standard game play, I may look into seeing what I need to do on that alt and maybe complete it. I just have no driving desire to complete it again.

I’d do world completion on more than one toon….because I enjoy exploring this world.

I have 4 level 80s with 100% map completion. I’ve never been a fan of having to do all the WvW regions for 100% – 100% WvW map completion should be a separate WvW achievement, imo – but being stuck at 9-whatever % after completing the PVE zones bugged the heck out of me.

That said, I’m half way to 80 on a fifth character, and though I do intend to complete all the PVE zones, I’m not sure if I’ll bother with the last few percent this time.

I have to ask the OP and the other multi-world completers.

I’ve completed it on two characters so far. I’ve been thinking about completing it on a third character too, but I’m in no hurry. I’m kind of hoping they’ll remove the WvW maps from world completion. If they do that, I’d wrap it up on that third character, and maybe a fourth too.

I’m at 5 so far with the 6th one sitting at 98% waiting for a few WvW areas to be under our control. I’ll likely work on the 7th once I’ve hit 10k AP and get the gems to buy another slot.

7×80 and i still have no map completion on any. You may wonder why? I don’t like to rush stuff. There’s cool area’s these days I explore for first time and they still surprise me, still make me want to stay there for a while enjoying it. I on purpose did not join the release ‘hype’ to get map completion asap. Gw2 has incredible much content, hidden in various maps. I like to see them as ‘expansion packs’. While they essentially aren’t, they keep me busy, surprised and keep the fun in the game. I know rushing all the best content quickly, will get me bored fast.

My focus is on living story since it’s one time only etc. Wvw because every matchup is unique. Dailies also. If i have time, I explore bit by bits, but there’s no rush involved. Currently having 57% necro, 54% warrior, 42% ele, 47% guardian/mesmer, 31% thief. Good enough for me

I’m currently on 4 with 100%, 2 at 87%, one at 80% and one at 76%. Like you’ve said, you really get to know the different professions and their possibilities when you put the effort into completing the world map with them. Since I didn’t really use crafting to lvl up, they were automatically at about 60% when they all hit lvl 80. With the completion of home maps and wvw, you can get to 70-75% pretty quickly and then it’s just a little push forward to 100% :-)
The only thing that’s a little annoying for me now is that I’m left with 4 times dredgehaunt and timberline falls now so I’ll have to run those two quite a few times now in a little time period. ^^
It’s just a little disappointing that the reward for complete world completion isn’t that great while it takes quite some time to do so. Having 16 of those map pieces isn’t that usefull, some other specific reward or extra gold along with the map pieces would have been nice. :-)

I’ve done it twice, both time on Thieves. I don’t find it as bad as people say it is, I actually think it’s pretty fun, not the most fun thing in the game but fun nevertheless. I don’t plan on doing any more world completion any time soon though, only once I make a final choice about my 5th legendary.
