I used to play this on release and im on the Underworld server

A few of my friends have just picked this up and are now playing on a different server, I see you can spend 1,000 crystals to server transfer but can I not just roll another character on a different server?

Also I see you can do Guest? if I just want to level and group will this effect me or is it only the WvW PvP it blocks me from? can I consistently play on the same server using guest or is there time limits?

WvW is currently all that’s really affected by servers. There is no physical Underworld server any more or any server. If you group with friends and you’re not on their version of a server, then just right click on their portrait and choose the “join in” option.

In WvW, however, you won’t be able to.

In order to transfer to their server without paying a transfer fee. you’d have to delete all your characters and start over. Probably not worth it, I would guess.

After the September 9th patch, servers will no longer exist in PvE, because global guilds are being added which is the last step in completing megaserver.

You only need to transfer if you want to play in WvW.
