Q:
A bit dismayed with the whole ‘account/world locked’ deal. When this game was released (I snatched it up quick, looked like such a wicked game), I had no idea that, by creating a character, my account would be locked to that world. Knowing nothing about the game when I bought GW2, a ‘friend’ (he’s no longer a friend) told me to create a character in a Euro server, even though I am in Canada. I played GW2 for a bit, really liked it, but stopped playing because I had no friends playing with me (they were all playing WoW). A couple years later, my best friend decided to give GW2 a try, and I am unable to join him because I am LOCKED to a Euro world, and he, obviously, chose an American world.
Being entirely mislead, is there any way around this, besides buying a staggering $20 worth of gems, or whatever they are called, for a world transfer?
Thanks in advance for any intelligent responses.

A:
You can delete all your characters and transfer for free. Just make sure you place everything you want to keep in your bank first. All items in your bank, wallet, wardrobe and achievements will transfer with you.

Bummer dude >> I spent alot of time on my Guardian. On the flip side of the coin, I haven’t played GW2 for a long time, and it will be really wicked to roam around in GW2 with my best bud. Thanks for the quick reply, Trogdor!
