Didnt find any topic for the world boss daily, so excuse me if there is.
For me after palyin two years gw2 i know there are world bosses and they can appear after certain events done at appropriate time.
I never had to wait that event to happen and go for the boss event cos of the Internet do it for me.
Call me a lamer but 100% of ppl i know they use that info to do the boss for daily chest reward too.
I dont know other ways to not scout the maps for hours or any other timer in gw2 interface to know when that event is comming as if i am 80lvl i dont like to be in 20-70lvl maps to do that.
It is fine, but what i find wierd is the world bosses are in daily achievement now that i think is not the place for them.
I think its not good as for a new player this is like sayin “You know (or maybe not) there are world bosses and stop by some 3rd-party websites cos there is no other way and check the boss timer”
This is bad for the game and i know the Internet is important these day, but i think there should be some addon ingame for the boss-timers not encouraging new players learn it from other source.

World bosses are now on a set schedule. You can look it up on the official site to see. The bosses in starter zones spawn every 2 hours.

New players that only have lower-level character would not even see the World Boss as a Daily Achievement.

But, for anyone interested, they can get the information by typing in chat…/wiki (insert World Boss designation here).

An account with only a level 1 might not see a world boss, but an account with only a level 13 could get Frozen Maw as a daily. I hit level 13 on my second day playing the game.

Well, not according to the Patch Notes, but I can’t personally verify what accounts get that only have lower-level characters, as my account has characters from Level 6 or so through Level 80.

Levels 1 – 10: 1 achievement per category
Levels 11 – 30: 3 achievements per category
Levels 31 – 80: 4 achievements per category

I suppose for those with characters Level 11 – 30, it depends on if the World Boss is Achievement number 3 or number 4. I really haven’t paid that much attention.

Not only do you get fewer dailies with lower level toons, you get different dailies. I have an alt account where the highest toon is lvl 40. The other day when my main got Daily Claw of Jormag, my alt account for Daily Fire Ele.

Today, instead of the 2 dailies in Fractals, my alt account has Maguuma Vista Viewer and Shadow Behemoth.

On the OP’s point: I agree, an ingame timer for World Bosses would be good. Doesn’t really have anything to do with the new daily system, though.

There is. You open the extra-special UI by typing /wiki World Boss
