Guild Wars 2

Hey guys.

I’m new to guildwars and just recently bought GW2. I’m having fun, though it’s a bit different than what I’m used to (I played WoW for about 5 years). I like browsing the forums for hints and tips and for meeting people etc… But there is one thing I really miss here on the forums: a chance to meet people from your own world, discuss events, searching for a good guild,… So my question is: why aren’t there any world forums?

Or am I missing something here?

Most servers host their own forums and teamspeaks. Since you can guest across worlds for anything PvE it’s only really important for WvW.

You can try watching http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/ for events, I see quite a few things announced there, or check the https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/events official forum for events.

For WvW check the https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/matchups forum, although that seems to be mostly a lot of razzing or good natured rivalry between the worlds.
