What is the worst thing that ArenaNet could announce at PAX South that could completely derail the hype train ?

Prepare to be let down then. Multi classing is almost always a mess eve. Dnd tries to get away fro. It and they fathered it. Eqn will be a complete waste of time. Side note, I will try Eqn because I’m a huge old school eq fan

Open world non consensual PvP, mounts, flying, the Holy Trinity, dueling, increased levels, gear treadmills, dps meters and removing the trading post and putting in player to player trading.

It’s the most disappointing scenario, but also highly likely, unfortunately.

Heart of Thorns:

A CDI programme where only the worst, most unfair and most unbalanced forum suggestions get implemented. Everything else is behind a gem-store pay-wall and the only content is mindless grind-fest.

The NPE gets revamped to the point where in order to unlock a single skill you have to kill a specific world boss. Each profession is “simplified to make things less confusing to new players” and you can only equip one weapon type.

The price of the expansion also includes a 30 minute long private lesson with a trained Anet representative. They come to your house, hold your hand and show you that in order to jump you must press the space-bar.

All legendaries and new prestige armour now come with strobe-light effects.

Just an “improved” season 3 with a couple extra feature updates.

Yeah, HoT will not feature a multi-class. Anet already expressed their unwillingness to re-introduce a multiclass system.

Thank god. You know what multi-class always means?

Less choice.

For real. I know it seems like it’d be the other way around, but it ain’t. It’s just one more thing to min-max into the ticky-tacky spec. One more reason to get kicked.

Let me tell you what really happens with multi-class: you have to level a class that you don’t want to play because it happens to be the only “right” class synergy with the main class you do want to play.

A movie based on Scarlet and Mordremoth, it would certainly fit the same level of hype.

Anything that is not an expansion would be equally bad.

Ok I’ll try… The Heart of Thorns: a book

I’m still telling myself it’ll just be a the season 3 of living story so I won’t be disappointed too much.

But I will be.

They’ve added mounts… but only the story NPCs use them to pull up and check on you after you’ve fought all the battles alone.

The worse, that all they are doing is adding a functional search to the forum. While a good thing in general it would not be what the riders of the hype train is expecting.

and Trehearne’s right hand will have an Alien Parasyte inside of it and attacking Scarlet with sharp blades and a rapid farting noise.

List in order from worst to not so bad:

1) no new class
2) no new skills per class (min net gain 8 )
3) no new Weapon types (for land combat)
4) not an expansion or similar concept to traditional expansion
5) no big addition to WvW
6) no improvements on Trait system
