I am a former player who stop playing gw2 around 3-4 months ago. I am wondering if ANET changed a content that makes gw2 worth playing. I quit because the end game was quite boring. I already got a legendary and got up to level 40 fractal with 35 ar (Max at that time). For me that was it because fractals was the same dull experience everytime and I had no reason to get anymore items with full ascended jewelry and a legendary. It would be very great to see if any major changes has been made. Thanks.

You don’t have to pay again, so why not just try it and see for yourself?

So you devoured all available content by playing 10+ hours per day, ground your way to shiny nirvana, then got bored? Well, you’ll probably still be bored after you’ve devoured the new flame&frost content in under a day.

Those armadillos would be a lot cooler if they looked more like real armadillos. mmm armadillos

This.

I’m quite sick of all the “GW is boring” threads posted by people who play every day like it’s the last day they will ever get to play. There is a limited amount of content, and even the replayable content will get boring if you play it nonstop. It takes thousands upon thousands of hours to play through all of GW and do everything, get everything. Yet people do it as fast as possible and complain when it’s over.

And if you haven’t played that much, it’s because you’re not willing to try the rest of the game. This is just like my friend who complains how boring PvE is, but has never left Kryta or gone past lv 40. Yes if you grind the same centaur events 100 times, it gets boring. Same issue, smaller scale.

Now as for actually answering your question, Flame & Frost has released a really cool dungeon that you’d enjoy, but only for a day. Also check the patch notes and see if there were any good changes to the things that you like to play the most. That’s what I’d do if I were in your position. Can’ be bothered? Well tell us what you like to play, and maybe someone will be willing to do the reading for you.

You Don’t like SPvP or WvW? Thats the end game after everything else, and Won’t change much until you eat up an expansion playing 10 hours a day in a week. Are MMOS the only thing you do all day? That Won’t work well with any modern or upcoming MMO I[’m afraid.

If you enjoy WvW they’ve added ranks and progression there.

If you like sPvP they’ve just added custom arenas and spectator mode

The Flame and Frost storyline is in its final phase. You can do all the phases right now, should take a day to complete if you play a lot. Interesting story line there.

Guild missions are a lot of fun, bigger guilds have all the missions unlocked at this point, smaller guilds are still working on it.

World bosses now award a rare item 100% of the time so they are much more heavily played. If you haven’t seen all the world bosses you should check those out. there are some sites out there with timers and windows for the events.

Those are the major features over the past few months. There have been a ton of bug fixes as well, and some major balance changes.

gameplay wise, no big changes, but I must admit that Flame and Frost Living Story and Guild Missions in general (if you have or get a nice guild) are reallt fun to do. You don’t need to fully come back to the game, but I would recommend getting yourself up to date with gear and Living Story, after you finish these things, see for yourself if you still wanna play it, if not, don’t worry, you can always come back to check the game

I think you should try coming back. There are really fun features. Hop on now and try out the new dungeon. (You can always check out my signature and see a let’s play of the dungeon ;D) There is plenty to do in the game. Make some new friends and try out new stuff.

I play this because no other game is worth playing. However this game is starting to get old as well. So tired of MMO’s that force people into grouping with others to get through level grinding. And so tired of elitist’s who think they are the ultimate gamer and look down at others having problems.

Level grinding? Where? It’s best leveling experience in all of the MMOs I played last 10+ years (2 80, 3 50+, very causal play from the start), fast, (almost) linear, and for the most of the time I did not even noticed that I’m leveling.

Forced grouping? This game “forces” grouping only for dungeons (by design requiring group to work) and group events (sadly, zergfests which do not require group coordination). Everything else is solo-friendly.

Also, number of “1337” people is much lower and they are way nicer than ones I met in other games — at least, here they are “quarantined” in CoF p1

Edit: better wording on grouping.

No. This is not your game.
