Would 10 extra trait points make a difference?
It certainly would make quite a difference: for one of my favourite builds it means I get to pick up two Grandmaster traits.
Really? What kind of build? What class?
I thought in the future it might be possible to continue building your traits up. Once you hit 80 you keep getting skillpoints. So if they had an advancment exchange where you could spend like 5 skillpoints for 1 additional trait point after lvl 80 it would be kind of neat.
But yeah, if you got an extra 10 trait points I imagine they would consider you to have too many options to get a stronger template. Not that it really matters. I don`t see anyone being able to solo dungeons anytime soon.

Please no.
The system is in place to encourage people to explore different build types, instead of having everyone just maxed out and using essentially the same skill sets.
It would be good tbh, but max 10 more in that case.
It’s good to be a bit limited but still feel like you got what you want.
10 more trait points would make my guardian far too strong.
It’s good where it is. Would like the major traits to be more game-changing than they are though.
Priorities, what to do?
Spend hours with dye

Just curious for arguments sake. How exactly would that effect you in a negative way? You lvl up after 80 and get skill points anyway, why not put them to use. It`s not like the game forces you to spend trait points.
Now I could understand for the pvp people who don`t want to invest time and get the extra exp for the extra points. But the pvp could be locked at the 70 points so everyone is on the same field. What would it matter to you if people in pve wanted something else to work towards? I would just like to know.
because people will start grinding skill points to be better when anet clearly wanted everyone on an almost equal ground stat-wise in end-game. In effect, you’d have an imbalance of lvl 80 players, and players who are gunning for a legendary are left at a disadvantage when their only “upgrade” is cosmetics only, but your upgrade is a better character.
I guess you are right. If endgame is only to be a cosmetic grind, no wonder my server feels like a ghost town and most people stopped playing allready.
Yeah, some people just need the gear treadmill to keep going.

Everyone would be the same. Only the gear would make “builds” different, but you would be able to max out all trait lines. It is more fun when you can differentiate yourself a bit more.
Also having to make choices makes your character more fun. It is maybe not so much fun you cannot pick those 2 major traits you really wanted, but it makes your character more interesting. You had to put thought into it and think about what you want your character to be.
Make it 20 SP with a max of 10 trait pts earnable and only earnable starting at 80. So basically someone would have to put on 200 levels after 80. Sure. Or you would have people skipping SP in zones just so they could go back and mass level the +10 trait pts at the end.
If I had 10 more traits, you would all be dead. xD I would be super OP.
I don’t think it’d change much of pve or wvw.
In pvp, I think 70 points is better because it forces you to choose against some desirable options for real trade-offs, sort of like you have to with having only one piece of gear with stats on it (the amulet).
