Guild Wars 2

I was talking with a few guildies and the general consensus is that we’d prefer it if the tag (that appears when an item is moused over) displayed the name of the skin as its “title” and the name of the actual item as a note in the description, which is the opposite of the current system.

Any thoughts?

The devs seem to flipflop on how they want to do it. When the game first launched it was as it is now. Then a couple months later they patched it so that it displayed the name of the visual as you’re suggesting. And it was like that until the patch that added the wardrobe, where its now back to how it was at launch.

Hopefully they go back to the title being related to the current skin. Its better for inventory management and its better for the purposes of linking skins to other players.

A dev did state the this was a bug with the new wardrobe system that they want to fix, but is a difficult fix and thus won’t be coming soon (not sure what sorcery they did to make changing which string should be displayed so difficult, but apparently it was some terrifying sorcery).

But seriously, this needs to get fixed, I am sick of my Foefire’s Essence saying “Molten Greatsword” >:(

Oh good, I didn’t realize this was something they already intended to fix. Thanks for the info, I’ll let people know.
