Would you buy a guild wars 2 expansion for 20 bucks, if all it contained was a swimsuit wardrobe for your character?

Nope. The whole wardrobe thing is overrated to me. Never use it, and don’t ever think I will. And for 20$ it better be a bunch of swim suits with an uncensored version of a birthday suit :P

Thank god someone finally said it! Wardrobe is overrated, is just that gw2 has no actual progression only skin and visual progression which makes a wardrobe essential.

Thank you! Yeah it kind bothered me that the real end game was playing dress up. After you got a full set of ascended, a legendary, multiple alts, and the like the only thing left was to get the skins to make yourself look pretty. While a wardrobe is important for RP it serves no real purpose otherwise. I just don’t get why the focus is so much on the wardrobe system and not on new content, or an expansion, or a million other things that matter to the world of Tyria, is everyone in the world that vain? Just sayin….

I might buy it inspite of the swimsuit. Swimsuits don’t really interest me in this game.

Is that a trick question? How could a bunch of swimsuits even be considered as an expansion and why exactly swimsuits? I’m confused!

No I only pay real money for a real expansion.

About the wardrobe being overrated because it’s just for skins.
Well for many people the game is (RPG MMO’s in general) are mainly about skins and related fluff (mini’s, mounts and so on).

That is also why in a game like this monetizing cosmetics is just as bad as monetizing stats.
So if you just care for stats and killing then yes the wardrobe system is overrated. Else it’s a nice easy system.

Personally if it is about just killing I prefer FPS games because there it is mainly about skill, not about the best stats.

Wait, what this isn’t The Sims? Now I’m confused, I thought it was but just with killing and stuff….

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

You are safe, this is like a demo of the The Sims but with a fantasy set.

Edit; actually now thinking in old mmo’s compared with this one, this is really like a demo of the sims but u can do nothing besides spam 1111 (overall mechanics).

1st April joke, when gw2 receives a “balance” update.

I’d buy it for $40 if it also contained an underwater city so I could see my awesome swimsuits more and give Legendary underwater weapons more use.
