Would you rather...
I’d rather find out about what they’re doing with the trait system so that I can know if I should care about the expansion at all.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
And our first optimist has arrived.
guild halls. I want to know will my guild members be able to enter them no matter they bought the expansion or not, if I buy it and meet the criteria to build it. If we can’t share it, then it would be an inconsiderate move for me to build it. After all, guilds shouldn’t divide their members into “VIP club” members and regular members.
i want to know the balance changes to our EXISTING classes…….

Gotta agree here. Been waiting 10 months for details on Traits. At this rate it’ll be 1yr by the time we get any info and 1.5yrs before we get it implemented(before or after HoT drops).
I would like to know, how not buying the expansion, effects other players. So which disadvantages you have to face – if not buying the expansion.
And a release date would be awesome. At least something. A month or a period of weeks in which it will/could be released.
I’d like to know what the ele’s no spec would be. Which legendary i have to get next.
I’m just curious, would you rather find out about specializations next, or guild halls. Explain for us.
Specializations. If those have been well designed, they will change gameplay far more than guild halls, which will likely not be available to all players (I doubt all guilds will get one, due to the probably steep requirements), and which in the end will likely be more a way for people to socialize among themselves than a gameplay-defining feature.
Of course, we risk having specializations that are badly designed, deemed useless by everyone and never used, in which case guild halls could be more important. I hope that isn’t the case, though.
Specializations, i’m hoping that they have the same level of new tech as the revenant has.

Would be nice but I doubt it. Kind of make you wonder which existing profession would have been better off delayed until the after the development of the new tech.

^ This, right here. How traits wind up will pretty much decide whether or not I keep playing this or ditch it in favor of just spending more time on my single player games.
‘Cause I’ll be kitten ed if I’m gonna put up with anything like the current trait system in a new expansion. Won’t even buy it if they don’t make this hot mess something I find more likeable.

Hits the nail on the head.
I’m pretty sure the trait system is more along the lines of a feature pack then expansion since it would affect the whole game.
Also I would like to know more about guild halls since I have been hoping for those.

just to ‘hammer’ the point home a bit more.

I would normally agree with you, Jack, but this was recently posted in the 83 page traits megathread.
Notice:
We’ll go into more details between now and the release of HOT on how skills, traits, and specializations will work in the new Gw2 world.

Yeah, I rather hear changes to the current professions now after seeing the Rev. I feel like not making it my main would be a mistake.
Specializations, but I wanted to know more about the Specs before more details about Revenants. I’m more interested in how they will update the old systems first (trait change, specializations, masteries in the old world) rather than learning about something new.
Also, telling us which of the above (if any) will be available to non-HoT owners is also very very important. Then they can discuss new professions, new maps and new things. Fix/update the old first.
Specialisations and changes to the classes.
Im curious as to whether they actually polish the current classes or mostly leave them as they are, while revenant gets all this ridiculous stuff.
Gunnar’s Hold
Of the two options presented, my heart says Guild Halls, love the idea, can’t wait for their return from the first game.
My head says specialisations, because there may or may not be some connection to the new trait system that is coming.
If the chouce was opened up, I’d agree with Guhracie. As much as I’m excited for specialisations and Guild Halls, and so much more about HoT, I’d like to assure myself that the fundamentals are being put right before I shell out for the new expansion.
