WvW - No fun for small casual guilds

With the impending paid server transfers looming, I’m once again witnessing a death of a server (SBI) which I transferred to with my guild mates a few weeks ago from Sorrow’s Furnace. What happened at Sorrow’s Furnace was that there was never a sufficient amount of PvP-ers in WvW and whenever my guild wanted to play WvW we were always stuck with the option of taking a few supply camps or defending one tower. The end result was always mundane and pointless as we would be back to square one after a few hours of WvW. We do not feel like we have done anything of importance toward our world nor do we feel that we have contributed anything.

The only way for small casual guilds to have any impact at all in WvW is to tag along with ‘big servers’ or ‘big zergs’. All in all, I am hoping that WvW can become less of a number game. Maybe things will change with the upcoming patches, maybe they won’t.
