Are WvW achievements supposed to be achievable?

I’ve just done, 10 minutes ago, after more than 2 months playing this game, tier 3/5 of Ultimate Technician. It implies using 10.000 supplies in repairing walls and doors. And what did I discover? Tier 4 requires to use 100.000 supplies!

So, I guess Tier 5 = 1.000.000 supplies? Using 1.000 supplies everyday for 3 years? Sorry, but I can’t. Nobody can. And even if someone could, I’d say: Poor server. Such waste of supply.

I was expecting something like 25.000 supplies for Tier 4, then 50.000 for last one. So, why so hight? As far as I know, in PvE, no achievement asks you to kill 1.000 times Zhaitan?

Wait wait wait… are you saying an mmorpg has long term goals to achieve? Blasphemy!

well the achievement says (lifetime). Perhaps we should take ir literally. Also looks like the tiers for capturing SM castle has the same steps, imagine that.

So.. you are only repairing for the achievement? Not to actually help your team? Because thats what it sounds like.

Help my team? I wasted 10.000 supplies in useless walls in Stonemist Castle. It made us lose it, once, when I used 2.000 supplies in a row. :P Though that was pretty funny to see them asking why the supply was gone.

Nope, you only need to do that 100.000 times. :P Ultimate Technician was just an example. But it’s the only one I got a proof it’s very hight.

They’re a bit too high I think.

Dude, did you read the part about using 1.000 supply every day for 3 years? That’s not an exageration, that’s simple mathematic. And that implies that you WANT to use those supplies, because you can play WvW all day and use only 50-60 supply. Then you’d need to play all day for 50 years.

But, you know, we’re not all rich, so we must go to work/school, and we can’t afford to play all day everyday during 50 years.

Especially… for a single title?

You’re assuming, very likely wrongly, that the last tier is 1,000,000. It’s more likely to be 250,000-300k.

And I hope you go into chat on your server and apologize to everyone for wasting supplies just so you can forward your achievement.

You should get an achievement and title for extreme selfishness.

I was thinking the same thing about Tier 4… “Noooo, it can’t be 100.000! ha! why would it be so…” so now I’m tired of hoping and I’m just using logic. Sad logic…

I wish a dev could just answer this but they are probably gonna hide or not even read, as always when we are complaining.

Hey, repairing walls & doors is not always a bad thing^^ When I used 2k supplies at SC, it kept the ennemies away for a while. And nobody tried to destroy that stupid trebuchet destroying our walls.
Though I wish I could get a special title after all these hours throwing a hammer on these things :P

LOL, you get an achievement for doing what the NPC workers do? That’s just kittenish. I’ll echo others before me – repairing that many doors and walls is more likely a bad thing.
