No they are too expensive and the rare gear is not that much worse than the exo. It is much more cost effective to run HoTW or AC for PVT gear.

I’m saving it for the legendary and then I’ll start using it for siege weapons to save money.

The skins are not new, they are just alternatives for people who do not play PvE at all and wish to get those skins just through WvW.

The skins are not new, they are just alternatives for people who do not play PvE at all and wish to get those skins just through WvW.

However, the ability to choose the type of stat you get is good.

Especially as even in PvE, some stat types have very limited ways of being earnt – the article specifies Cleric as one of the stat options badges will be able to purchase. Cleric stats on exotic gear can only be crafted in PvE, asides from rare instances with mystic forge and a couple rare world drop weapons.

Having more options to get stat sets like that is a good thing; let’s just hope the pricing is better than the current PVT armor.

Just use the gifts to make 2 legendary weapons and sell them and then you can buy all the gear you could ever need!

Well why the heck did you buy two gifts? Just to save space?

It’s comparable to people who use up their mats to make a combine for their legendary.

What if you get another precursor and change your mind? Now you can’t unforge that item and you’re stuck.

Same with the badges…don’t use them until you’re absolutely ready to make the legendary.
