My primary interest in GW2 was WvW; getting to max level/gear quickly then spending most of my time in WvW.

Things have changed. We now have a tough path to max stats – a stat treadmill in GW2 – we now have an incompatible system for casual pvp.

What if WvW used a system similar to sPvP for stats?

With slight differences being skins of equipped gear stays visible, all elite skills allowed. Players would simply choose stats upon entering [or default to sPvP builds]. Gear grind would not affect WvW.

What are your thoughts?

I’d then just forsake PvE completely and play WvW and sPvP/tPvP (which isn’t such a bad thing). A treadmill of any gradient is bad- I don’t expect to have consistent free time to grind and regrind repeatedly. I bought the game in the expectation that if deployed I could come back later, buy an expansion and hop into content with my guild on a competently geared character as was the case in the Guild Wars 1.
