Q:

The settings in this game are account bound. If I change hotkeys on my game they will stay changed even if I log onto a different computer.

My question is, can I copy settings from one account and put them in another account somehow? Copy past some file someplace or any other way?

A:

You can copy your local (hardware related) settings by copying
%appdata%/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat, but you can’t copy your account settings which are stored server-side. Assuming you want to copy your keybindings, you can’t. You’ll have to do that manually.

On Win7, it’s located in mydocuments/Guild Wars 2.

Documents/Guild Wars 2/Local.dat is the alternate location when you have an old/corrupted Local.dat under %appdata%.

yes, hotkeys are save account bound, so if you change the hotkeys within in-game those settings will show in another computer.

example: my gf used to play on her laptop and i used to play on my desktop with a keypad. so whenever i logged on in her account on my desktop, her settings would show and i would mess with her setting every time >:D

I believe you are looking for the local.dat file. On Win7, it’s located in mydocuments/Guild Wars 2.
