Guild Wars 2

While exploring Ebonhawke I stumbled upon scorch marks in some grass that look like they are in the shape of an X followed by an arrow. It’s in an area of the town that is behind buildings so you can’t actually walk to it but you can see it from above (and fly down to it if you have a glider).

I couldn’t think of any event that it goes to, and the weird thing is the arrow just ends at a wall, and there’s no interactions with the X or anything.

Anyone know what these are there for? I have photos in the attachment for reference.

There are weird marks all over the place when you look out of the maps. Nothing New.

My guess is it’s left over from when they were building the map.

You can occasionally see marks like this around where the original basic textures for a map weren’t replaced. Some of them are more subtle, some are literally words written on the ground.

In this case it looks like whoever was building this area was letting the other designers know that something would appear from that grate and move towards the wall, where presumably there was going to be a gateway or something.

when the game went live I found a shadow on the ground near a waypoint that said CUTOUT.
