Been asking for the Vertical camera position slider for a very long time. Very happy to see it and hoping they can add much more to this control. Right now it appears to be very little in adjustment when zoomed in. The set to character height appears to be set too high as well. Though good changes which can get even better with some tweaks.

I’d like to see more UI customization as well. Being able to hide the LS or PS reminders for instance would be a godsend.

I need to compare some new and old screen shots, but does it seem to you, even with ‘Adjust Camera to Char Height’ off and ‘Vertical Position’ all the way down that the camera still seems ‘higher’ than it was before?

I could be crazy, I’m going to go see if I can prove it.

Update: Pretty sure I’m seeing something that isn’t there because I know something changed. Comparing zoomed in all the way with -useOldFoV (which still allows you to get the camera closer, so still useful to me) and UI off with the camera a similar distance from the floor and it looks like the distance between the top of the character’s head and the screen is the same in both. I think I’m using some ‘little bit more zoomed in’ options while running around, and it’s giving me the illusion that the character is even ‘less’ centered, which is true, when you are that close, but … well never mind. Nothing to see here. Please disperse.

I too love that they added vertical camera position, but I agree that it’s far too little. Furthermore, for some races, particularly Norn female, it seems like the camera is just calibrated really wrong, so with a character with their height pretty much in the middle ends up either really low in the camera if you “snap to height”, or really high up if you don’t, creating a focus on the character’s belly instead of head+torso. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with all races/genders though. If the vertical position had more of an effect, it probably wouldn’t be a problem, but as it is right now, I constantly feel like my Norn ladies are just placed really awkwardly in the screen no matter what I do.
