I assume that once Scarlet’s living story arc is complete they will be giving a plan for the year.
They’re close to the launch of GW2 in China, so I expect that once it’s launched there they’ll start outlining some of the upcoming changes (and there are changes that they’ve made for the Chinese client which will also be implemented in our client – changes to tutorials and hints, rather than adding grind thankfully).
No idea why they wouldn’t just hand the localisation of GW2 China off to a third party like every other MMO ever has done… if what I’ve been reading is correct and we’ve been seeing absolute lacks of content being produced as they’ve been spending all their time and effort trying to get GW2 ready for a China release.. that’s really poor.

That’s not correct.
We have not been seeing a lack of content – GW2 has consistently put out way more content than any other MMO within very short timespans. 2 weeks between decent updates is pretty amazing. They’ve also been stated to have a larger team in the background (on top of the i think 4 living story teams) working on content closer to what you’d expect from an expansion.
And honestly, it’s a GOOD thing that they are the ones managing the localisation, it means that the quality of the game and the lore is consistent and also means they have more money to fund more content further down the line.
You and I have very different notions of ‘content’.
From a WvW and PvP perspective, being ignored for the larger part of 18 months does not help.
Additionally, catering to the solo player through LS severely hinders our ability to tackle challenging content as a ‘guild’, in this great game: ‘Guild’ Wars. (yes, yes.. I know it’s name is #franchise and in the original was #lore)
Living story for example, is created on the back of a series of design schedules that appear to be some sort of ‘cookie cutter’. Variation comes in the story, characters and only recently: boss fights. The core rewards, achievement process and many of the event formats have been repetitions… noted in many, many threads.

You’re talking about one specific aspect of the game.
You can’t ignore the TON of PvE content they’ve added and say they haven’t added content just because it isn’t content that you personally play.
PvP is about to undergo an overhall – they’ve told us that in advance a while back. WvW just got EoTM and had the Season 1 achievements – and will have the season 2 achievements at some point in the future.
LS does not cater to the solo player – or did you somehow miss the update to Tequatl. The two Super Adventure Box updates. The Marionette. The Wurm, etc.
Boss fights as part of the living story aren’t new either. We did have the Karka Queen added a while back.
