Guild Wars 2

Hmm, I played on my friend’s account, Human Warrior, and liked it pretty much. I got to lvl 70 and only played PvE, which I liked.
Now I’ve bought the game and thinking of Elementalist or Guardian (mostly PvE!)
Also I wondered what race who’d fit.
- Is the Guardian “bad” if you doesn’t play with friends or together with someone?
I’m a kind of person that likes both middle-range and close range, so both the Staff and Great Sword.

I think both of them could suit you. I’d suggest you to try both in pvp just to see their skills (even on training golems) and make a choice. They are both very useful in PvE, despite some might say elementalist is a bit more versatile.

If you don’t mind always swapping between your attunements, but have no weapon swap, which means staying either close, or middle range, elem could be a good choice.
If you prefer to be able to change close to middle range in a fight, then go guardian. Consider that guardians can equip more weapons than elem as well. Both can do very good damage, and have good support.

Also pay attention to the look you like most, cause one is light and the other heavy armor, so skins are different.

Guard is fine if you play solo, as you can just use scepter/focus and Greatsword to have a pretty good damage output. Also guardian is a lot less squishy and if you are used to playing War you might prefer that. Also you can just make two different chars and see which play style you prefer. Both are viable in the meta.

If you are newish, i would avoid the Elementalist.
