When you read about speculators on the stock market, you complain how they are earn money faster than you do at your job. Demand that earning money on the stock market be equalized out to match how anyone else earns money doing anything else, because it’s ruining your gameplay experience.

When you go past a shop or see an advertisement and bitterly complain how they are pushing the items in your face and ruining your gameplay experience.

When a shop gives you the opportunity to buy items with tokens you earn from playing with toys in the shop you
1) complain they are manipulating the odds
2) demand they change it so it’s easier to get them
3) complain that this is ruining your gameplay experience

For me, it’s always been more about things my chars say … for example:

When stuck in a checkout line, there’s the desire to shout, “Urge to kill rising!”
After a few too many brews, a trip to the bathroom results in a hearty, “That feels good.”
Cruising down the highway yields a, “I could outrun a centaur.”
And, of course, stubbing a toe against a piece of furniture gets the, “My leg!”

“If you can’t beat them, get a bigger stick.”

  • I’m watching a gameplay video of GW2 and I try to hover my mouse over their skills to see more info
  • I’m looking at a real-life place in Google Maps and try to look for a Waypoint icon to “go” there (not sure what I was expecting)
  • Alan Rickman comes up in conversation, and for some reason I take this as an excuse to bring up how GW2 references his line in Galaxy Quest (I am the only person who cares, or finds this hilarious)
