You favorite activities?
Sanctum Sprint
Southsun Survival (but only as a Wisp)
far down the list: Crab Toss and Keg brawl
1. Choir Bells – Like the music, relaxing and fun
2. Crab Toss – fun getting squashed, small arena that means no hiding
3. Keg Brawl – the first activity out, can get competitive
4. Southsun Survival – a bit long if you have someone who hides really well – mechanics good though
5. Sanctum Sprint – you get bored and want to afk at the end but scared to get kicked by the afk system
6. Lunatic Requisition – also long if someone hides really well – mechanics are ok
7. (Costume brawling and that Belching one? the drink game) – no one does it for fun
I find that most activity’s don’t stay fun for very long but to rate them according to how fun I found them in their first weeks:
1. Dragon ball!
2. Aspect arena
3. Snowball mayhem
4. Sanctum sprint
1. Dragon Ball
Oh, there are other activities?
These are in no particular order
Activities I like:
Bell Choir
Aspect Arena
Dragon Ball
Sanctum Sprint
Toypocalypse
Reaper’s Rumble
Lunatic Inquisition
Activities I don’t like:
Southsun Survival
Crabtoss
Belcher’s Bluff
Costume Brawl (as implemented in GW2. GW1 is was awesome)
Snowball Mayhem, Bell Choir, Aspect Arena, Toypocalypse, and Lunatic Inquisition all ranked highly on how enjoyable I found them.
Costume Brawl seems less appealing to me with people holding tonics where they just sit on people and hit the same thing over and over to rack up “kills” with me unable to do anything. But it’s not a full activity so . . . kind of like the Moa Races it seems less like the “Daily Activity” and more like something else to do while hanging around town.
I didn’t really care for Southsun Survival or Crab Toss. Belcher’s Bluff gets a miss for me almost entirely over Irongut.
I never played Dragon Ball, Keg Brawl, or Reaper’s Rumble so I can’t rate them.
Sanctum Sprint and Keg Brawl are fun, Crab Toss is tolerable, Southsun Survival is a gigantic waste of time.
Northern Shiverpeaks
I love Sanctum Sprint, it’s my favorite activity by far.
Keg Brawl can be fun, I enjoyed it when it was the only activity and got used to it, imbalanced teams can make this annoying though, a setting similar to team arenas in PVP might help with this.
I enjoy Southsun Survival although it’s so bugged atm, as people can move during the first few seconds and grab items, and the immobilize comes later on.
I completely hate Crab Toss in any way or form, me and my friends used to call it (when it was first released) Crap Toss. No fun activity full of griefers with Fishing Poles.
Entering a late game is annoying in Sanctum Sprint, it is nearly impossible to win, they could give 1 or 2 Light Travel powerups to anyone entering late (those that teleport you to the next checkpoint) or even start players at a later time. Fortunately, Sanctum Sprint takes so little time to finish that it’s not a very big issue.
Entering late in Keg Brawl isn’t much of an issue, more like how hotjoins work in PVP. A team arena version of Keg Brawl would be awesome, you can have great teamwork in this activity.
Entering late in Southsun Survival can cause trouble if you spawn near the the end of the Grace Timer, you will just die. Fortunately, if you spawn a bit later you will turn into a Wisp and those have some nice gameplay available (although you can’t “win” anymore, at least you have something to do and earn points.
In Crap Toss I don’t know, it’s just full of griefers with the Fishing Pole making the game completely unplayable at times and not at all fun or enjoyable. Entering late will have you either:
1) Get a Fishing Pole and grief the first player
2) Go afk with a button on your forward so you are not in front of your computer while this horrible activity is going on
Funniest part about Crab Toss is that if you enter very early and most players join later, the game is EVEN WORSE, the possibility of someone getting a Fishing Pole and just focus on you (even if someone else passes in points) is so high… Not late and not early is the best time to play Crab Toss… still, a horrible activity
