not have stats selected. Double-click to select stats."

This keeps popping up, but I’m seeing no problem with the neither the gear I have equipped nor the gear in my inventory. Anyone else getting this problem?

Hover the cursor over your equipment one at a time, the item in question will show no stats, double click the item, and a selection window will pop up, allowing you to select any stat combo.

As I said, all of my gear on this character is fine. Is this message an account message, meaning something is wrong with another of my characters’ gear?

Have you checked your underwater weapons/breather, full set of gear, weapons, and everything in your inventory?

Have you checked in your stash?

Okay, I found the culprit. It was the pair of Mad King’s Slippers that’s been sitting in my bank since last Halloween.

would be kind of nice if they made it a little easier to find the items
8 toons a fair sized not terribly organised bank

finding where the one item i missed is going to be a pain, just perhaps it would have been a good idea for the pop up to actually say which items need changing?

Hmm…all my equipped items showed stats, but I kept getting that message. So, I double clicked on each of my equipped items, and…lo and behold…one of them allowed me to change it’s stats. Not sure why, as it already had stats, but….

It did get rid of the message.

Not sure about the bank thing, the message does state ‘item…equipped’. Maybe it was an oversight. =)

The item(s) you’re looking for won’t have a completely blank stats box. They just won’t have anything in the 1-3 green rows at the top where it would normally show the stats. You’ll still have the name, the armor/weapon rating, the upgrade item (or empty slot) and all the white text about rarity, item type, level etc.

That’s what had me confused, I was looking for something with a completely blank (or almost completely blank) box when I hovered over it so I had to look really carefully to spot that my sword was missing 3 lines of text.

Also it will all be gear that used to give a bonus to magic find.

Check your underwater gear.
Choose stats for them.

Problem solved.

Why don’t you try stripping the char that is getting the message, all armor and weapons, both land and water. Put all items into your bank. Log out of game. Log back in. Then one by one add each piece of gear. After each piece you equip, do whatever it is that would get that message, I’m assuming here it’s logging onto that char. See if you can locate the gear that’s causing the method to pop up that way.

Just spam double click every single item you are wearing.

The message only shows up if you’re equipping an item with no stats, your bank does not cause that pop up.

Oh God, finally!
The item in question was one of my trinkets, but there wasn’t a message on it or anything. I tried double clicking everything, but apparently it doesn’t do it if the item is already equipped. The warning went away when I unequipped everything, and when I tried to re-equip that trinket, the prompt came up for me to change the stats or whatever.
Thanks for the advice man!

You probably had an orb or a rune on the item that gave it stats. What it had was no native stats. So it looks like it has stats when you look at it. But it doesn’t have item stats. That happened to me several times before I realized it.
