Why IS Necromancer called Necromancer if they don’t exploit corpses?

Hmm what exactly is exploiting a corpse? I have an idea…but its probably not the same thing you are thinking of.

Well they can create minions which as we know from GW are dead flesh/bone, get life energy or whatever it’s called from the dead around them and my Necromancer causes poison with her wand and more, I think the person who created that pic. played Necro for a minute.

hehe.

i personnaly am not in “love” with the GW world and lore.
it feels a bit cheap, nothing gel.

but, on the other hand, the art style is amazing!
visually, it is stunning.

but it still doesnt explain me where “magic” come from or why my toon is a guardian.
its not tight on that!

but its such a beautiful action mmorpg that i forgive them unclear lore and, well, unexciting world (from a lore perspective only!)

They do use corpses, just not from a game mechanic perspective.

Those bone fiends are using bones stitched together with magic from a lore perspective. However GW1 necros required actual corpses of slain mobs/players, and it crippled minion builds in specific places.

This was a change for usability, not lore, reasons.
