You need to fix your game.
Not saying that your issue isn’t important (it definitely is and it needs to be fixed asap), but game developers who work on gem store updates are not the ones who fix the glitches and technical problems the game has.
Stop blaming a different team for the lack of progress a completely separate team is making on the issue.
And fixing Bongo’s number of eye.
- Spend 2H in dragon’s stand
- Whole map disconnects
- Some of us get back in and manage to get to mordy
- Kill Mordy only to have him fly around and spawn bramble things before the cutscene… event fails.
- Whole map dies and nobody gets any credit. It’s a kittening disgrace that kitten like this is happening this long after launch, but Anet is more concerned with adding outfits to the gemstore.
Why would you think they don’t want this fixed? It affects their bottom line worse than gem-store-related glitches: if people don’t like DS, they don’t recommend the game to others and there aren’t enough players who want to spend at the gem shop.
The main reason something like the DS disconnects don’t get resolved quickly is that they aren’t easy to resolve. The root cause often is difficult to identify and more often difficult to resolve easily without affecting other mechanics.
tl;dr be patient, either in game or take a break; it’s not going to get fixed any sooner just because there’s another complaint post.

I believe he considers Anet a one big team, which, in my opinion, is the right point of view.
Every company has different branches and it’s the management’s job to balance those branches. If you give too much resources to one branch while neglecting the other, than you’re not doing a good job, right?
Think of a game as a one of those rubber band balls people make. Now, one of the bands breaks on the inside.
Go into that ball and replace the band
BTW, don’t mess with the other rubber bands and don’t break the other rubber bands while you do so, cause that can mess up the whole ball then

Sure, but i’m not gonna yell at the short stop player who is doing his job when the first baseman missed the ball

[seriously] So are you saying their game engine is to blame?
[comedic relief] Quick point the finger and lets all gang up and hit it with sticks!

The way I see it, no one is yelling at the baseman. I believe he blames the whole team for buying a superstar baseman and a rookie shortstop player.
There actually seem to be a issue with DS lately. I been to two weird rounds lately were on the first he did two burn phases and then it took ages before the last one came up, he just flew around doing nothing really. We got to a point were we were about to give up, were he suddenly do the cut scene even though we actually did not do the last burnphase and he actually was not about to die but he did. We got reward but that one was weird.
Second one was yesterday, were he flew around spawning legendaries all over the place, we had two up at the same time, spawning at the same time. Obvisouly he can only surround one platform at the time, and the whole timer thingy bugged out for those legendaries. We managed to kill them and then he flew around again doing nothing and i thought great another one of those lost burn phases. Then suddenly he make the phase and we burn him and then cutscene being off sync, as in npc talking were they should not, but oh well he dies and we do get reward.
So overall he seem to be a bit out of sync. I also noticed some lag every now and then which also never happen to me before, don’t know if that have matter but thought i should mention it
The map disconnecting and resetting is a mechanic that was introduced with mega servers. When there are too few people in a shard, it flags it for shutdown. Sometimes though, people will start bringing others back into the shard via taxi. Unfortunately this doesn’t reverse the closure, and sure enough, everyone gets kicked within an hour.
Other times, it’s just a server crash

Or think of the game’s code as a gigantic Jenga tower, assembled by one group, partially disassembled and reassembled on a daily basis by another group, now being remade into a larger, slightly differently shaped tower by yet another group, with notes kept by the first two groups as their guide to keep the entire thing from collapsing.
Debugging code you haven’t personally written can be extremely annoying.
