You want the Crown Pavillion to be permanent?
Do we know for certain the pavillion will be removed? Doubt that it will since its in a major city, just the event ending. Could host plenty of other events along with having regular PVE content in there. Or if possible turning that into duel arena, but that last ones wishful thinking.
My belief is that it will stay but what will be inside we’ll have to see after the event. Now if only a new statue in Lions Arch was in place, maybe they’ll make a fancy projection since that Asura machine is still there.
The gauntlet should be permanent, I agree. Almost all of the temporary stuff I agreed with the temporary aspect to keep them from becoming dry and stagnant, but the potential for this to last a long, long time is amazing.
I’ll trade the gauntlet for the Moa race.
they won’t make the gauntlet permanent just because a few thousands of people on the forum requesting it , don’t waste your effort, remember SAB? i think they have learn nothing about what the players really want.
4 weeks, non-instanced, queues…i think i am going to skip this event entirely… some of us can only play on the weekend for few hours you know ? Anet…

The gauntlet and the pavilion should be permanent. Balloons, torches, LS/Aetherblade stuff should be removed after the month.
Why the hell would they spend all that money renovating the collapse, just to reclose it?
Please give us a keyring…
Honestly, this needs to be a permanent addition. It’s too epic to be just another “here for a month” challenge. I do realize that they want the rewards to be rare and exciting, but maybe they can impliment it in a different way after it’s gone.
why not leave it there and add new enemies/contenders over time? Why not improve the whole Arena over time?
I know little solo-player challenge other than jumping puzzles in the game. Now we get one and it get’s removed again. I’m extremely frustrated at the moment. (Not only because I have little time to play this month but rather the feeling that Anet seems to be ignoring our issues with temporary content.
Before I make a direct answer, I want to say that I’m not sure how fun the content will be, that it could very well be a flawed experiment, much like the candidate trials, and for that reason, people wouldn’t mind for it to be removed and substituted by something better the patch after. Sometimes, we’ll only know if we really want this kind of stuff to be permanent after playing it for a few days and forming our own opinions about it.
But supposing it will be as fun as it sounds, and considering how such a system can be easily expanded, then yes, absolutely YES, this should be permanent content.
First, it’ll give a reason for people to go back to DR, even after the festival ends.
Second and most importantly, this game’s pve is lacking at diversified challenging content. This is a big one. I can understand that stuff like mini-games should be temporary, or else no one will be left to play them, but this is completely different. There is a playerbase for this kind of stuff. And this playerbase has little to no reason to play GW2. Making this kind of content won’t divide the playerbase, it’ll expand it, especially if Anet keeps expanding the system too.
Third, this kind of content, as I mentioned above, is easy to expand. Anet can always add new bosses in there, and market that for each new patch. Anet can use it as an experimentation for future content. Anet can add dailies specifically for it, which would improve the daily system a lot to people who prefer taking their time with challenging content instead of gathering or farming underwater foes.
In conclusion, there’s too much to win and too little to lose by making this content permanent.
I hope Anet can listen us and think deeply about this matter.

I definitely think that the gauntlet should stay.
It sounds interesting and a real challenge and it will contribute to the game in the long run.
It really does not sound like the kind of thing that gets old in a month- I mean people are still running FoTM right?
I doubt that making a thread about it will help because Anet- even though they do listen, might have plans involving the pavilion that we know nothing about.
The patch isn’t even out yet- we are really just speculation at this point
for what it is worth +1 for a permanent Queen’s gauntlet
But But Guys… don’t you know what the players want? How could anyone NOT want 4 weeks of a temporary event with a 25 minute wait for 2 minutes of content?
I actually assimilate the gauntlet to the fractals, a new pve mode.
They have a lot to win letting it stay.
Btw SAB is an event which can come back for our pleasure, its not exactly the same as with the Crown Pavillion.
this is a milestone in the gaming history
while other game companies trying to add fun content that is permanently accessible to every players, Arenanet removes fun content after every 4 weeks. What an innovation!!!! They certainly deserve a medal for achieving this.
