Your first Legendary
I’ll tell you once I have 250 crystalline ingots I expect I’ll be dual wielding pistols and shooting everything in sight.
The Flameseeker prophecies is my first and only. I just don’t like the others enough to actively work for them.

I’m a proud owner of The Juggernaut. It is one of the few legendaries that I actually like. Gotta be honest, shooting unicorns and disco balls for maces aren’t my thing. But a liquid metal hammer that coats you is just plain awesome.
I thought to myself, “Yay finally!” I lucked out in the mystic forge on Halloween of 2012 to obtain the lover then I spent lots of November of that year doing WvW and Twilight Arbor to complete the gifts and we even carried a level 55 in explorable mode, but grinding out Orr for all that long was the worst. Dyes in those days were per character not per account so I had to pick some up which interfered with my icy runestone savings. Due to inflation however fortunately icy runestones are easier to obtain now (gems to gold or even just grinding mats to sell then buying them) then they were back then.
I made kraitkin a few months ago. At first I just smiled feeling happy, but after a few seconds I put my head in my hands and just sat there laughing at how much time and gold I spent on something I’ll use so little. No regrets.
For me it was Bolt! Loved it then, still love it now. Though honestly my first thought was… On to the next.
Worked a year tossing leftovers into the MF with everything else done. Then for Father’s Day one of my children that play GW2 with me bought me Zap.
Has a lot more meaning attached to it.

I’m not even sure why I made Frenzy, but no regrets there either.
My first, was The Dreamer. I was not happy about it at first… I didn’t want the precursor but it was glitched to me. I couldn’t sell it on the Trading Post… So i sucked it up and decided I might as well make it. When I was nearly completed with Gift of Fortune material wise… my account was hacked and all of my T6 was gone…
The kitten precursor was still there though… so i sucked it up again and with help from my guild I finished it. At first I wasn’t impressed with having no foot falls and shooting only unicorn heads… then a couple weeks later ANET updated the effects for it and it had foot falls and shot Unicorns.
Now i really love my Dreamer and I love using it to troll ultra masculine manly man kids in WvW/ PvP.

Great thread idea!
You can always tell who just got their legendary- just from the constant unsheathing and running around in circles!
My first was bolt- I linked it in LA before i forged it. I equipped it and looked next to me- there was 2 or 3 people next to me with bolt challenging me to a sword fight- So i spent the first 5 minutes or so after making it circling around the mystic forge, sword fighting these people lol.
My first was the Incinerator 2 or so years ago. I was envied by my guild for the precursor dropping, and have had decent luck of precursors coming my way, compared to the rest of my guild, I’ve sold maybe 3 precursers. I finished Incinerator 4-5mths after I got the pre, and I loved it, the visuals, the sound. Perfect. As much as I love staff for thief I love d/d far too much and even more with the legendary. In the last 2 years I then crafted The Juggernaut and Quip for myself, followed by The Bifrost which I gave to my (soon-to-be) husband, and The Moot which I sold.
I made my first legendary was the Bifrost in the first year of the game, back when dyes were much much cheaper, orr was much harder, and the precursor was only 300g. I hate farming so i sold my second gift of mastery to finance the gift of fortune, which was also cheaper. I was friends with a lot of really lucky people, so one gave me the Legend and told me to pay him back at a reduced rate than what was on the tp. Overall crafting my first legendary took the longest amount of time despite somehow also being the one i technically had the easiest time with.
Since then I’ve made Sunrise, Meteorlogicus, Howler, and now i’m about 2/5ths of the way through Bolt.

My first legendary was Twilight. I received Dusk as a drop from the Ancient Karka. At first I was going to sell Dusk, 100g on the TP at the time, but I didn’t have enough gold for the listing fee. So I gave it to my guardian. 18 months later I finally decided to acquire all the necessary items and I crafted my Twilight.
Since then I received Tooth of Frostfang from a mob during Teq and The Hunter from the Forge. Crafted both of those into legendary within a couple of weeks.
For me it was Bolt.
I’d been saving up mats since launch, thinking that if I ever got a precursor to drop I might as well have the rest ready to go. Getting that drop seemed pretty unlikely though, it’s a running joke with my D&D friends that I might as well roll a d10 instead of a d20. Ultimately I figured I’d have to bank a thousand gold and buy Dusk off the trade post like everyone else if I actually wanted one.
Had everything ready to go save for the unique gift and lodestones when Zap dropped for me when I was opening champ bags from the Dragon Stand meta. Absolutely blown away when I found it, then instantly relieved that the luck gods didn’t hand me an underwater precursor just to rub it in.
I don’t have a Legendary and don’t want one, I think it’s a waste of money and time. The sword precursor dropped a while ago (I forgot the name), I sold it immediately. But congrats to everyone who got one!
