Your level, class, and happiness rating 1-10
Level 29, Mesmer, Happiness 9/10
It’s hard for me to give a perfect score for anything, so I’ll just say that Guild Wars 2 is a total blast so far. Easily the best MMO I’ve ever played, and it’s amazing how alive and compelling this world is. It actually feels like an RPG, a story-driven experience I can get lost in, and for an MMO, that’s saying something.
Minor point deducted because the tutorials are OK, but not great. A little more hand-holding, especially with regards to Crafting, would be nice in the earlier levels. Some things aren’t immediately apparent or intuitive.
80 Ranger. 6/10 (but I expect it to go up as more polishing is done on the game)
80 Thief, 25 Guardian, 20 Ranger, 15 Elementalist, 15 Engineer
Game: 4/10 and dropping until they start fixing the huge pile of problems. It is taking the fun out of it for me.
56 Ele, 8/10. It used to be a 9 or 10, but as I get higher levels there are more and more bugs (skill point battles not working, ele skills not working right, etc.). With a bit of patch work it could probably go back up, the foundation is there and they just need to clean up a bit.
39 Ranger 8/10 – love the class & gameplay. need lots more abilities and it’ll be 10/10.
[TTBH] [HATE], Yak’s Bend(NA)
Level 80 ranger – 8/10
Level 80 Thief – 10/10
78 Warrior 8/10
Level 80, Guardian, 9/10
Level 65, Guardian, 8/10
Would be 10, but I gave -1 for Crafting (nice system, but produces a ton of useless stuff), -1 for Economy (production is way higher than demand, ending up with the majority of stuff just being discarded to vendor)
Items are not useless, the crafted gear is just as useful as any dropped or rewarded gear or even dungeon gear.
Level 80 Guardian 10/10 Power/Precision – Spirit Weapon – DPS build ftw!
62 Ranger, eight out of ten
72 Warrior – 9/10
39 necro 10/10
wife is 39 thief also 10/10
lvl 43
Warrior
8/10
70 Ranger, overall score of 7
Since everyone else is using subscores…
World Design: 9 (travel costs too high, and spawn density way too high in many areas)
Graphics / Character Designs: 10
Voice Acting: 2 (Except for a very few bright spots this is just bad)
Lore: 5 (This took GW 1’s excellent lore and added enough silly plot holes to drive a truck through)
Music: 10
Crafting: 4 (Would be 2 except for the discovery system, other than that there is no ‘game’ to crafting and crafted goods are almost useless for a number of reasons)
Economy: 3 (Deflated mess, there is no player to player economy, only food is even useful to your own characters)
WvW: 8 (a few technical issues need to be resolved)
sPvP: 7 (Character Imbalances)
Profession Design: 7 (Character and build Imbalances, too many useless skills, overly long skill cool downs and too much reliance on auto attack or too few skills slots depending on how you look at it)
PvE: 8 (Spawn density way too high in many areas, after around 60 or 70 areas become boring, redundant, and tedious to travel)
Dynamic Events: 9 (Too many are zergable, but fun nonetheless)
Post 50 content: 4 (Just not finished)
Personal Story: 2 (OMG hire a writer)
Dungeons 3: (Short, too many boring boss fights, frustratingly hard, poor rewards, and no ‘tutorial’ on mechanics. Throwing untrained players into AC is just mean).
Exploration: 9 (Waypoints and vistas are an awsome idea. Some of the higher level zones get redundant. I think Sparkfly is an unfinished copy of most of Timberline down to the Krait tower in the middle of the lake)
level 80 necromancer, and i’m at a level 8 happiness. once the necro bugs are dealt with, it’ll be a 9. if they add condition damage, toughness, and precision gear to the tailoring profession, then i would be a 10. right now any condition mancer is forced to karma or dungeon farm, or spend a ton on the khilborn set (of which the boots seem to be out of stock!).

80 Mesmer
9/10
(-1 because of the DE bugs)
65 guardian 9/10 (i hate the scepter and the staff is awkward)
66 mesmer 8/10 (managing illusions can be tiring, doesn’t have much “big scary magics of doom” except for staff #5)
80 thief 4/10 pve 10/10 pvp
60 ranger 9/10 pets some times bug me :P
Looks like the positives are CLEARLY defeating the negatives and in the 80’s average just like on Metacritic.com Games a SUCCESS.
FYI, for all the 10/10 and 1/10 voters: In statistics (if this really is a statistics problem) the high and low outliers are usually removed from the stat calculations.
Hi Metacritic, outliers in statistics really have to be outliers. I mean, like CRAZY big x/y values (large enough to be a mistake).
1’s and 10’s, although unusual, are not mistakes. People are allowed to have opinions that are very high and very low.
I would consider an outlier to be that person who said 100/10.
Although in saying that, I will ask my Statistics lecturer about it tomorrow. If he agrees, then yes I will remove 1’s and 10’s

80 elementalist, 9/10
[TSFR] – Jade Quarry
Level 43 Ranger. 10/10
80 Human Warrior
80 Asura Ranger
6/10 but until something intresting gets added in the game im done for now
WvW is a zerg fest and also when u start losing its impossible to get back up unless u get a big team
80 mesmer.
I give it 8/10 only due to only 1 melee mainhand.
80 Ranger and 80 Warrior
8/10
My only real gripe is that the effort put into gathering mats for crafting has an extremely low reward, and gathering mats to sell what I make would be a perfect end-game for me.
41 necro/ 51 engineer
3/10 bugs and boring pve where gaining lvls means nothing. No new skills same weapon attacks. after lvl 40 all you can look forward to is your traits and thanks to lvl 80 pvp you already know what your going to get.
Necromancer 80 lvl
8/10
45ish Necromancer 6 or 7/10 .
It is a tad grindy for my taste, and my class has some pretty big bugs that have yet to be addressed.
80 sylvari ele 7/10

“The most important thing in any game should be the player” – R. Soesbee
Level 70 Elementalist
7/10
I just lack the “long-term” endgame conent. It IS needed.
Besides this- a cool game guys! :j
Although in saying that, I will ask my Statistics lecturer about it tomorrow. If he agrees, then yes I will remove 1’s and 10’s
You need to look at the actual distribution before you decide that the bottom and top of the scale are outliers… I think you will have enough samples.
He might start thinking he knows what’s right for you.

53 ele, 7.5/10
Things were better at the beginning I guess, things will hopefully only get better for the game though.
Lvl 60 thief, extremely disappointed, idk what I’d choose on a 1-10 scale, because I have fun until I get 1 shot from a boss during, or a split second after a death blossom.
I don’t enjoy them in pvp either.. I just feel too weak. It takes an hour to kill anyone with half decent armor, trying to backstab people is a hell of a task, my immob is on a long cooldown and after that one, not even guarantee’d backstab that hits for 2-4k (yes I’m serious, that’s a crit) on a well armed guardian I’m pretty much screwed, hitting with c&d is also a task and I feel pretty much every other class is faceroll when compared.
I dismissed a lot of my daunting pvp experiences assuming I was just bad but after pvping for multiple days at a time I am pretty convinced thief sucks and I should just roll a mesmer to faceroll everyone in pvp with my lolclones
Basically my favorite class is too frustrating to play, not sure if I will reroll or wait for updates that I hope will be in the future. It suck not doing any damage unless you’re a glass cannon build in pvp… and still dying pretty fast in a full or half survival build but doing almost no damage in comparison.
Thanks for all the responses so far everyone! I have over 300 data points to use so far – which is awesome! I’ll probably start doing some analyses, maybe survey some more people from Orr as well. Results will hopefully be up soon!
Lvl 80 Guardian 9/10 DE bug.
Recruiting dungeon raiders.
LvL 80 Sylvari Ranger – 9/10 because my hands and wrists are sore.
3rd Flora Artillery Unit
Level 80, Warrior, 8/10
