After posting a message maybe every 10 minutes about three times.

cos their system is a joke.
I had the same last night when trying to form a fractuals group. Apparantly ya need to type it in and make it different to not be a spammer.

It was still doing it to me even after changing it every time yesterday. -_-

I’ve never ran into this problem, so I guess it was a lot better than the original games spam suppresser XD

They are testing their new forum spam suppression software.

I posted in the suggestions yesterday that being suppressed whilst trying to find a fractal group is insane and a poor decision, the post was deleted and I got an infraction so I posted on they frecking facebook page. So far, I have questioned almost everything anet has done to the game since launch. It doesn’t suppress spam at all, because they learned to change the context of the message each time.

If you spam LFG Fractals 3 – 5 times, you’ll get suppressed. If you change your message slightly each time, then you don’t.

I’ve been hit by this as well. LFG 3 times in too short a time and can’t talk any more. And yet, gold spammers go on for hours…

I linked a waypoint 3 times within and hour and got suppressed. Why? Because different events popped up and I was doing map completion so figured might as well weasel some karma out of it too. Keep in mind that was VERY spread out. It was absurd, I made a post and had screen shots and we learned that time between doesn’t matter at all.

It is absurd. I’ve had team members get spam locked trying to advertise for a group. Yet gw2walmart.com spam is all over. They don’t seem to have much of a problem but we do.

It’s beyond absurd. It’s even worse when you are a Commander in WvW. You simply cannot coordinate anything because you are suppressed within minutes.

Why on earth would you ever need to say the same thing three times in 2 minutes? That SHOULD be blocked, because it IS spam. In fact, it’s a terrific example of why they need to be muting actions like that.

However, I agree that the time interval is too large. You would have gotten muted for 3 in 10 or 20 minutes as well, and that’s no longer spam.

Last night, I was suppressed after looking for a group for FotM, and then decided to just go to bed. I came on 8 hours later and found that I was still suppressed……………………..
