When selling ac path, I was flipping offers with a guy like:
Me-sell path 3g
Guy-sell path 2.5g
Me-Sell path 2g. and so on.
Than message popped out and my lfg offer was elementalist icon. If this system really need to exist then why this shouldnt totally disable ability of setting lfg and giving You message “x minutes, y seconds suppression left” instead of this annoying one which is atm (no info about time left and empty lfg offer)? And btw how long can this last? minute? 5 minutes? hour? I’m going to break my keyboard ;s

Yup – it gets worse …
You advertise for people in the LFG :
*Kick a person for not meeting requiremnts (eg lvl 80 or wrong profession).

You advertise again…
After kicking the 3rd or 4th lvl 50 player- often it will be the same player.

You re-advertise your LFG after each kick – your LFG bugs out completely and you can no longer advertise for players or remove your LFG listing.

Party members also cannot remove the LFG listit or put up any LFG listing.

The only way of fixing this is to leave the group – and re-join back into the group.

It’s a mess- and lfgs should not be subject to suppression.
It hurts people trying to find players to do content together.

Going back to this topic.
Today i was suppressed again, decided to go afk and forgot about the game for about 1 hour. Guess what? I was still blocked. Anet You definitely should do something about this, it’s annoying as “f word”. And happens cuz of random people joining and leaving because they don’t read descriptions or are brainless and refuse to communicate which forces me to kick em.

I can understand why it was done, but please leave it out for LFGs…

When trying to taxi in people for SW for example, I tend to get this quite often. Which means that trying to get the map full takes longer, which means it may not be full enough when doing breach, which means breach has a greater chance to fail.

Please remove the message suppression for LFGs. Thanks!

Just found if you get suppressed for the LFG – you also have your ability to put anything in map/say chat is also suppressed.

The OP is talking about mail messages. I agree, when I stream my giveaways I normally have to wait five minutes in between gifts because I get suppressed during sending. Sometimes I have to send each person in my party a dungeon potion but, since I can only send two messages before being suppressed, I have to wait.

I understand the flood control is set in place to combat gold sellers / spammers but I feel the current mechanics in place are incredibly draconian. Punishing the main player base for something a very small amount of people commit.

The suppressed for spamming I hate is when I am in wvw and am doing the timer in garrison for those who want to get into a battle to defend. The odd thing is, it is not that I am “spamming” with excessive messaging, I am merely saying the same thing. If I change the beginning of the sentence I do not get suppressed. For instance:

Timer garri 1:00
Garri Timer 45
Garrison Timer 30
Spam WP Garri 10 sec

If I begin the sentence with Timer each time, I am suppressed.
Try changing the beginning of your sentence.

That only works to a certain point, eventually you will still get blocked. That’s why for wvw people need to learn to use team and squad chats instead of map chat. They either have no spam block or a much less restrictive one.

Agreed – I got hit with the same thing when bringing folks into a Silverwastes map. I’d fill a party and then re-advertise in the LFG tool. I think it was about the 3rd time or so that I saw I was suppressed.

The suppression is supposed to prevent folks from abusing/spamming on chat channels. But that shouldn’t apply for re-posting an LFG advertisement. This needs to change.
