Your top 5 most annoying foes?
The underwater asura or risen that have the auto attack where during the entire animation they are evading. As long as you’re in melee range, your attacks will fail most of the time because of it. The animation is like 1.5s long, while the downtime is only like 0.5s. Super annoying when all your spells are casted.
That is all.
I like the Dredge and never have any problem with them on any character. No idea what people find so horrible about them.
The rest of that seems about right (especially Krait, even though I’d absolutely love to play one). Just tack on Griffins. That stupid 7-second fly-back-evade and knockdown swoop… Ugh.

I used to hate the Krait, but now I respect them as an enemy. They provide more of a challenge compared to other generic mobs, and they actually seem like genuinely evil kitteners with all of their slaves and pillaging, much more reason to kill them than just ‘Death… Good!’.

anything that pulls me back or immobilize
- Risen – They move way, way, WAY to fast, excessive poisons, and in large numbers
- Dredge – Pulls/KB/and earth “rubble” attacks you can barely see make them a pain in the rectum
- Krait – Just and all around pain to fight, Poison AoE rings, KB,KD, and hard to see tells
- Gravelings – No explanation required, stunlock = bad game design
- Bandit Sabotuers – This one unit should be wiped from the game completely, I hate them that much. They are not “sabotaging” anything, all they do is lug barrels of gun powder around and stunlock you to infinity. Crap design, crap unit, crap to play against.
Saboteurs aren’t stunlock, m16. It’s a simple knockback and burn, something you have ample time to walk out of our dodge through.
They’re really the easiest enemy in the game. All you have to do is kite them or melee with a roll/skirt out of range every few seconds, the barrels are their only attack. Or just get launched, it hardly does any damage.
When they are solo yes. When its 3 or more its infinite stunlock, you can not dodge before another bomb is already placed at your prone position.
- Inquest Grenadiers; if ANet is worried about AoE spam, they should look at these guys
- Veteran Risen Nobles in quantity at scaled up events; players as ping-pong balls
- Risen Plaguebearers underwater; these guys are necros, why do they evade like thieves?
- Sorge the Zealot; hurry up and die, already!
- Bosses that spam drop AoE on downed players; oh wait, that’s most of them >.>

1. Spiders – hate spiders, the gw1 ones were unrealistic enough for me to tolerate, these are creepy.. and pull you in, and chase you with those horrid 8 legs.
2. Centaurs – annoying, with annoying quotes and annoying catapults
3. Dredge – immune to blind, knockdowns, hard to kill and make irritating “diggy” yelps when I hit them.
4. Bandits – bomb AoE, more bomb AoE, you’re kidding right?
5. Gravelings – swarms, stun-lock and bad breath, what’s not to hate.
Guild Bounty Bosses. It takes our group of 9 nearly 15 minutes just to find one of them being beaten by another guild, forcing us to search again.
Awesome design…
1) Graveling knockdown spammers.
2) Veteran Ascalonian Warrior.
3) Harpies.
4) Dredge Oscillators in numbers.
5) Veteran Elementals in snowblind.
Risen Eagles… they fly away for an ungodly amount of time mid-fight, and then suddenly reappear after I’ve given up waiting and decided to attack something else. Also, their attacks are bizarrely overpowered.
I can get hit in the face with a trebuchet while 4 risen chew on my legs and feel fine, but if an eagle pecks me once, I’m done for.

In no particular order.
1. Veteran Risen Giants. Why? Because they’re a pain to kill and I have to carefully balance killing additional mobs along with them. They throw down Grubs, which add to the problem of dealing with them. Yes, I can take them solo but they’re still a pain in my butt.
2. Hrathi Lancers. The charging knockdown annoys me, as do the blocking they do from time to time.
3. The Mossman. Stealthy, annoying, and makes the Swamp Fractal very hard to deal with once you have to get the wisps.
4. Champion Risen Covington Captain. Nobody wants to kill him, but to reset Laughing Gull Island he needs to die. And he attacks through floors.
5. Champion additional monsters at Claw of Jormag. Seems like nobody deals with them, and just lets them wreak havoc. Almost was present at a total wipe due to the Champion Goliath running around in the back.
1. Lava Fractal Boss (I believe his name is Shaman?)
2. The champion Kraits in Sparkfly Fen in the event near Teq spawn area. Are they on super steroids all of sudden??
3. Wasps. Being such tiny creatures compared to other foes, they are a pain to kill.
4. Ascalonian Archer. Not for being hard to kill, but just out of jealousy on how my ranger actually should be :-(
5. Risens. Just tired of the mass quantity!
Cave Trolls, their AoE knockdown spam means a quick death if you arent paying attention, especially if there is a group of them.
I’m going to cheat and add one more. Artillery.
Back during winterfest those screaming little dolls. If they popped out of a present I learned to simply run away. I had no problems with any of the others but my mesmer simply couldn’t kill them before they killed me.

1) Mesmers: shouldn’t have to explain why
2) Can’t Catch Me Thief : requires an army to track down and kill, they just stand there and stealth/teleport away over and over again. Will never engage unless it outnumbers you, but will follow you nonetheless. Most commonly found in WvW.
3) Backstab Mug Thief : doesn’t cause me much trouble but I cry everytime one of my guildmates gets instagibbed.
4) Any other Thief
5) Any other Mesmer.

the only mobs i find annoying are the ones that are easy to kill.

1. Griffons, I kittening hate these because they hit you even though you clearly see you are many feet away. Like they have some sort of limitless range.
2. Gravelings in AC, that stun lock is annoying as hell
3. Krait in wvw borderlands, who doesn`t love getting randomly stunned while getting chased by 5 invaders…
4. Champion Risen Giants. Those look like huge zombie monkeys on speed, the almost instant knockdown doesn’t help either. I don’t know how Anet thought adding quickness to this kind of champion was a good idea.
5. Risen Plaguebearers are a pain in the kitten for condition builds. “Hey nice stacks you got there Rise- OHkitten!” instantly gets 20 bleed stacks on myself.
