Zephyr Sanctum
Zephyr Sanctum is permanently in the game. It’s the wreckage of Crash Site 1 and Ship’s Fall
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.

True, although that would be some malicious compliance if that was Anet’s answer for people begging for the return of the sanctum. True to the letter but not the spirit of the request.
It’s spread around Dry Top.
RIP City of Heroes
I agree they’ve been crying over the wreckage and the dead for over a year now! Time for them to rebuild and move on.

They’ve had plenty of time to rebuild it. This isn’t the reason Anet isn’t bringing the map back.

For real. Would be cool if Dry Top was updated just one more time with the Zephyrites rebuilding a sanctum there so the Four Winds festival can be brought back.
Will update once Path of Fire releases.
I think I read that the devs now consider every map from living story to be locked in a point of time, to explain why we will be fighting White Mantle for years to come in Lake Doric so the Zephyr Sanctum will always be recently crashed in Dry Top.

Exactly and this is just like rubbing salt into the wound.

This. I believe it came out in a conversation regarding Lake Doric and why you could not see Queen Jennah’s shield/dome from Queensdale.
I’m not I like that it works that way, but keeping things moving time wise is what Arenanet seems to have originally intended with the living story, but that results in content showing up, then being removed.
In hindsight I think it would have been better planning to have a main event for each story episode, and then an “aftermath” setting that retained most of the same rewards. For example: Dry Top introduced as the part of the story about the Zephyrites, but when the next episode was out, Dry Top turns into something not quite as time-bound. Maybe a zone where the Zephyrites have overcome the crash, built a small town among the cliffs, and the players in the zone do events that are focused on preventing the mordrem and inquest from overtaking things completely. Just some way to allow people to still get geodes, etc.
