You know it is perfectly fine for people to want a fast run. What I don’t like is how the more toxic people seem to congregate into these LFGs.

So I join a group as a full-zerker war (it’s my alt set but still all exotics. Only half the trinkets are ascended) running a phalanx strength build. So I am getting psyched to pump out 25 stacks of might to the party when someone goes:
“Are you zerk?”
I reply, “yes”
“Good bye you lied to me. Zerk wars don’t have 25K health.”
And then I was kicked. I blocked that person and then ran another path.

Still annoying though.

Trust me. You didn’t want to group with that person anyway. Consider it a blessing in disguise.

I always start my own LFG usually with, “Path ‘X’, All welcomed.” I’ve never had a problem when doing so and find it fills up fast. That way I don’t have to worry about people that want be jerks. It is a simple and effective way to weed out the people that want to be toxic or dictate how others should play.

For some reason it seems many people that post here about the problem with PUGs and toxicity have some fear of starting their own LFG that meet their game play criteria. I don’t get it. It isn’t hard to do and minimizes the negative aspects of PUGing.

how do you even see people’s health?

I don’t often have problems with zerker PUGs, although many of them are unskilled players with blindly copyied meta builds who’re so used to being carried they don’t realise that they’re bad.

I like to add a little flavour to my zerker postings like ‘Well-dressed’ or ‘Fashionable’, just to let people know I want to get things done properly and have fun too. That always attracts the best sort.

How did they know how much health you had?

There are UI mods that read teh memoriez and display health by number, things like dps done, etc.

Often people mean full damage setup when they write zerk. You had zerk gear but apparently you didn’t have damage runes or food. The 44060 PS build you can get up to 23k without going for defensive gear options. With the more widely accepted as better PS build (05063)you’ll cap out at about 21k

So what runes/food were you using just as a question of curiosity?

That’s part of the 44060 build I posted about which is the reason for it’s extra 2k hp. Still off by 2k, only explanation I can htink of would be runes/food or some gear/trinkets/waepons that aren’t zerk?

Zerk warriors really shouldnt have 25k health, but then again kicking people for that is stupid.

WvW bonus to max health was 7% at the time too.

I was running 2/6/0/6/0 (Attack of opportunity does as much as slashing power and I like to spam my F for more fury)

Nice, sorry for not thinking of the WvW boost.

Pretty crazy that you can grab almost 7k more hp just with a few little tweaks and the right time of the week

Im mostly running a Zerker Ranger these days..

Im quite against the Zerker meta though.. I hate the build on Warrior..
I’ve got a Zerker Warrior with full Exo and Ascended Trinkets and a gentle breeze is enough to leave him lying a mangled mess…
I’ve taken to keeping him well away from lions arch as he’d probably explode from the impact of some bird kitten hitting his armor..

on a Ranger however im always out of danger and my pet takes the aggro so the Zerk setup works very very well there

I never join specific groups when doing any kind of group content..
I refuse to play with arrogant and toxic players who are soo close minded they can’t even comprehend that other builds have use.. and can be even better…
hell I’ve soloed my fair share of dungeon content after my party got whiped and carried my group to victory multiple times..
and no I wont give them crap for it..

I play for fun and when im looking to do dungeons or fractals then my LFG description will always contain the words (All Welcome)
if your a noob to the content then fine
if your not very good at the game then fine
if your inexperienced and don’t have a great build then fine

the only thing I won’t tolorate is arrogant kittens who want to kick people who don’t measure up to their standard..
I’d rather help a million struggling players than party up with a douchbag for a easy run

So if anyone ever see’s me in the LFG tab just know that you’ll be welcome in my party even if I have to do most of the heavy lifting

They are using a Dps meter it can give them information on enemy hp pools (or anything you click tbh). It can also give you party HP (only max hp) and how much they have from armor and traits. I can’t believe the idiot was stupid enough to kick someone over it though, its a great way to get something that is in “the grey area” to be banable. Sigh, I really hope Anet doesn’t crack down on it, not all of us are kittens.

I get that some ppl like to have smooth run and only want ppl with good build and gear. I also prefer that, even if I never ask that in my LFG.

But some ppl push that too far. Yesterday I was doing my daily Arah runs (1-2-3). I did a duo path 3 at lupi because my group was really great so I put 3 pts in acrobatic for my thief just to be sure. Forgot to switch it up, I’m going in a path 2 and the guy kick me saying that’s because of my 6pts in acrobatics. Didn’t ask or think, he just kicked. I end up with a lovely group and we were doing abomination by the time the other party filled up so…
