The zodiac staff is absolutely perfect for me….as a Capricorn and a Goat under the Chinese Zodiac it is perfectly suited to me!! (anyone want to get me one?)

I just wish the ticket scraps dropped more often. After about 30+ keys bought I have a grand total of 7 scraps. Not exactly what I would call common.

The other zodiac skins are beautiful too and whomever designed them did a great job.

Besides the zodiac staff the only other weapon I’ve liked this much was the sclerite staff and greatsword (of which I never got either epic norn cry). Maybe someday I’ll get a lucky drop in Southsun and finally get a crate with a ticket, but I doubt it…I literally cried after the last Southsun event because I bought so many crates only to not get a single ticket…..and my husband got one with his very first crate. It’s bad enough I haven’t gotten a single champ weapon in my last 200+ champ chests….my luck sucks.

So thank you for pretty skins and thank you even more for making them tradable right at the start so that those of us with crap luck have at least a glimmer of hope at getting the skin we want.

….so does anyone know if there’s a way to trick the southsun crates into appearing for me? I still want that sword and greatsword…..and all of the blinky weapons.

Zodiac ones I can farm and buy if I can’t get enough scraps.

Actually……they look very similar. The staff for instance is almost identical. Sure the colors are now brighter and the new ones aren’t as pixelated and blocky….they hold true to the look and feel of them.

GW1’s Zodiac weapons are very dark with bright yellow shiny things.
GW2’s Zodiac weapons are a blue blob with a few misplaced yellow dots.

They’re an insult to GW1.

The GW2 Zodiac weapons are awful.

Having never played GW1, I don’t have any sort of reference to judge the weapons by, but I said “to heck with hit” in regards to getting a dumb drop, I just bought the Longbow skin outright. Absolutely the best, in my opinion, longbow skin in the game, and it fits perfectly with my Ranger, color and all.
The rest of the skins I’m somewhat indifferent to, they are nice, but the longbow is “that one weapon” that just fits with my main.
No, I didn’t change her outfit colors to fit the weapon, it’s just, in my opinion, a perfect match. Even the birds are great because I use birds as my primary pets.

Yeah, personally, I don’t like the way they look. Glad some do, though. I’m not that rabid about skins in general, though, and I only go for the skins that aren’t dependent on the BLC RNG. I don’t do RNG.

For me GW2 Zodiac weapons betther then all legenderys in this game and aslo better then Zodiac from gw1. Im have 2 Scepters 2 Daggers and Staf

Skins are always a matter of taste. I guess what’s baffled me is that I really liked a lot of the armour and weapon designs in GW1 and that in GW2 they are so disappointing.

In GW1 they weren’t all great either, but there seemed to be more winners on the whole. Not sure if it’s a different design team by now. The graphics as such are better in this game but the design….well, still a matter of taste.

Well to be fair, I remember playing Prophecies and being underwhelmed by the skins available in general. It took quite a few years for the GW1 weapon repertoire to really flesh itself out.

It’s a matter of design vs graphics I’d say. GW2 graphics are definitely better, but design wise GW1 still owns. I never cared much for zodiac weapons in GW1 either, but man, there were cool designs for weapons and armour there. You always ended up liking multiple ones and wanting to collect them. I just haven’t had that same pull here.

I like some of them, not the staff particularly. Like the axe, and the daggers though. I find I like the remakes better than their original GW1 counter parts, but it’s all subjective. Some will like them, some won’t.
