A fan letter
Agreed.
Even with some things I’d like changed or fixed, I continue to love this game. It’s the MMORPG I’ve been waiting for.
Above all, the biggest compliment I can give it is that after months of playing it I still experience moments of wonder and child-like glee.
Thanks for a great game. I look forward to getting through its growing pains, and have great hope that it will be even better as it reaches maturity.
I agree and the interesting thing is that I never could have tolerated past MMOs like EQ. I played various MMOs over the years and I always quit because they simply never had much appeal for me.
That is not the case of GW2. I am very much enjoying this game in a way I never have with an MMO. The cooperative gameplay, the storyline, the exploration and combat have all come together to make a very entertaining experience.
I guess ArenaNet was right when they said ‘If you love MMOs you need to play GW2. If you hate MMOs you -really- need to play GW2’
Also just to keep the numbers straight, ArenaNet has not said GW2 has sold 6 million. GW1 sold 6 million four years after the initial release.
The latest number for GW2 sales has been 2 million copies. I wonder if the number will increase after the holidays.
