aggressive acts accepted in the game ?
Griefing is a violation of rules. Each case needs to be confirmed by looking at chat logs.
And keep in mind: skritt holes always get what’s coming to them.

These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
Many of us do not care for these selfish individuals either. Whenever I see these actions, I always block those people. Anonymity is no reason for acting like a kitten. This is not WoW. This is not LoL. This is GW2, and we like community here.

well , the reason i added him to my friend list because i felt it , he is going to kick me .. i was thinking of kicking him before he do it but i stopped because i know it is not right . now i understand that it was my fault not to kick him first as the only one lose is the one who follow the rules ! . seriously i regret that and in any other chance i will act fast i kick people from donguns as the experience shows that they will be the only loser ! – away from ethics
I’m not sure if it would violate any of AN’s rules, but if not post the player’s name. Maybe AN considers that some kind of harassment, though. But I would think you could at least post the guild’s name here. Maybe if this person starts to give the guild a bad rap, the resulting flak from his guild mates will improve his future behavior.
I don’t know about that suggestion. Though posting the name would be useful to us, OP could get infracted or his thread deleted for “badmouthing” a guild or another player.
Griefing is a violation of rules.
Apparently not.
I sent a support ticket for being victim of such, this is roughly how it went:
Me: “We got kicked at chest from 2 people etc etc will you do something?”
Support: “As a player myself, I perfectly understand how you feel yadda yadda, we’re planning to improve our dungeon system yadda yadda”
Me: “I understand but will you punish those giefiers?”
Support: “As a player myself, I perfectly understand how you feel yadda yadda, we’re planning to improve our dungeon system yadda yadda”
Me: “Thanks but I understood that the first time. I’m asking you directly if that griefing will be punished or not”
Support: “As a player myself, I perfectly understand how you feel yadda yadda, we’re planning to improve our dungeon system yadda yadda”
Me: “Ok, I’ll take that as a no. Please no more copy and paste you can delete this.”
1 thing u have to understand, anet turned greedy they dont care if ur account gets hacked and all ur characters get deleted they do not replace, their still making their money and u already paid them their 60$. this is what anet says/does when u get hacked or scammed “we’d be unable to restore any losses that may have occurred on your account, as we simply do not have the tools to provide this service at this time” yea my kitten
Griefing is a part of GW2, it’s not going to go away, and nothing will be done.
Find yourself a good guild or a small list of friends and do not play with strangers. It’s the only way to protect yourself.
i see , i should have searched for a game that take care of the game environment before getting GW2 . as i like to ( play ) not fight . and i spend my time having fun around the area helping and searching .
Ignore the naysayers and doom whisperers. They are just bent cause of pointless reasons, so they claim Anet is out to get them now.
Every game company does the exact same thing. Not just Anet. They will never tell you if disciplinary action is taken against the offenders. It is not your business to know that information any ways. And pretty much all of them will tell you they will not give you free loot cause a group kicked you before the boss died. If they did, people would claim it all the time and abuse it. No company gives you free loot because of jerk players.
All you can do is provide a screenshot and report them. Give names, time, and incident as clearly as you can. Then move on with your life and hope they get what is coming to them. Don’t let one little group of children ruin your whole experience.

i am not claiming , i proved it , screen shots and the conversation have been sent to them

I didn’t say you claimed anything. You did exactly what you were supposed to do. You were unfairly treated, so you made a screenshot and sent it to support. That is all you have to do. Don’t expect them to reply or give you a decent discussion on the matter. Don’t expect them to tell you what is going to happen to the offenders, or to give you free loot cause you lost out on it.
You send in the report, and you move on. That is how all game companies handle the situation, Anet is no different.

Anet isn’t going to punish someone for kicking, unless there’s a clear belligerent intent behind it. They can’t get into every personal squabble that happens in a dungeon. They also can’t stop people for kicking people who are perceived to be continually holding a group back, or simply not fitting in with the rest of the group.
A few guildies pugged a higher fractal run recently and ended up kicking one of the guys who was down pretty much all the time. He claimed he had agony resistance when he joined the party but eventually they came to think he was lying.
They kicked him because he was preventing them from moving forward.
Is this aggressive behavior, or is it their right to do so? How is Anet supposed to get involved here.
All we have is the OPs comment that he’d been kicked for no reason. It’s true people should let people know why they’re kicking someone, but you know, a lot of people in pugs won’t.
So on what basis do you punish people?
It’s not so cut and dried as it seems. If nothing else there are too sides to every story and I doubt very much, screen shots or no, that Anet is going to take anyone’s side, unless evidence of wrong-doing is obvious.

I like how you say dont listen to the naysayers, then go on to say they(anet) arnt going to do anything about it or bother to compensate you, and then even go on to say you should still waste your time reporting them.
Why on earth waste even more time on the matter to report them when by your own admission nothing is going to get done to them and nothing is going to get done to compensate you.
Reporting them is nothing more than a waste of time, your time would be better spent finding a guild to play with.

I never said Anet would do nothing. I said they won’t tell you what they will do to the offenders, and every game company will not compensate you just cause you were kicked from a group. I’m sorry, but that is how all game companies work. They will not give you free loot just cause some meanies decided to kick you from a group at the last boss. They will however look into the issue if you send them a detailed report about what happened, and if it is genuinely all the offender’s fault, then they will take action.
You act like this is only Anet that does this. Every gaming company does this. So you can either send in a detailed report and move on afterwards, or do absolutely nothing and know that nothing will be done about it cause you didn’t report it.

Oh im well aware Anet isnt the only one that does this, they all do thats a well known fact. All im saying is it is also well known that nothing gets done to these people, the OP provided undisputeable proof in the form of screenshots and even cyber stalked the offender through the friends list to confirm if any type of ban was put in place and it was not.
So all im saying is reporting them is just as big of a waste of time as doing the dungeon run in the first place and getting kicked at the end, why waste more time than you have to.
The definition of insanity according to Einstien is “doing something over and over expecting different results”
This is what reporting stuff like this to anet(or whatever other company) is, insanity. The results arnt going to change they are going to keep getting away with it no matter what anyone reports.

Griefing is not in the spirit of the community we have built in GW2. Yes, a number of people have come from WoW and other games which tolerate griefers and have no sense of community. I’d like to think GW2 is a better place, and that the griefers will eventually give up and go away.
Hello , guys i am asking you to confirm that
i was playing in party in a dongun and the party kicked me out just before the final boss die so a get no rewards , i take screen shots with that they said and why they kicked me unfortunatly i was playing with some angry children so i contact ArenaNet with the screenshots to do something about it . there replay was that they will not recover my losses and they will not tell what will they do for the aggressor . good for me i added him as a friend to see if something would be done against him , maybe a block for few days or something , but he is still online playing .
so i understand that doing such thing will not actually cost you any losses and players are welcome to act aggressive . it may not violation of AenaNet rules .
and will ArenaNet be able to do anything for me if i start to behave like this and making it popular act . sure i know they can delete my account but i mean in what players accept as they can not allow it to player and punished other players for doing it
prove me wrong please . thanks
Hais,
I’m sorry you ended up grouped with someone I would simply rather not have in this game or on my “world” (shard).
It isn’t fair.
I’m sorry it happened.
For the sake of your stress level and sanity please accept that it happened, that customer support isn’t empowered to do anything about it, and move on.
If anything, file a “suggestion” saying the current dungeon loot system is susceptible to griefing through the “kick” mechanism — and then offer a simple and easily implemented suggestion to improve the game.
Good luck and safe travels. You’re the kind of player I want to encounter.

what a misleading . if they waited for him till they finish 99% of the final boss health , then yes it is aggressive .
look into the details when you try to understand a problem , it is not as you tried to say .
anyway i was good player and i think i am one of few people who when lfg i mention that i am noob and have not done it before . and that will increase the chance to get a nice group with no sickness in it .
if the support do nothing , then take away the report option in the game .
i was very serious in reporting bots to keep the game better , but now i will never report , why should i help them by reporting a bot while the support team will not fix a problem that i have ?
Hello,
While we understand that this kind of situation can be extremely frustrating, the forums are not the place to discuss such issues.
Sending a ticket is the right thing to do, however, the decision is at the total discretion of our customer support team.
