I know, just play the game and do missions,etc. Well I see people get 80 in like matters of 3days! and im just like HOW IN THE HELL! because usally it takes me around like like 1 month! like what am i doing wrong that every1 doing right?

Are these people veterans? You get some serious permanent xp boosts for your account as your AP goes up.

Beyond that, and assuming they are leveling via PvE instead of tossing stacks of hoarded tomes at the alt, you need to do events, gather all the nodes, explore the maps, and as soon as you can get into dungeons start running paths. You can get most of a level from one dungeon path. Your daily login and dailies should offer writs and tomes you can use to bump up your levels. You can also get a lot of xp by raising crafts to max (can cost gold if you don’t have mats saved up).

Right now the current events achieves offer big xp rewards for people that complete them. I’m not sure how big because I did the achieves after maxing Tyrian masteries and before the change that let maxed masters get xp again, so the reward did nothing for me.

But I always wonder why someone wants to hit 80 that fast before they’ve done it enough times to have really experienced all the zones. It’s not a bad thing, there are level 80 things to do, I’m just curious since so much of the fun of this game for me in the first years lay in leveling a bunch of alts to see different PS lines, racial interactions, and learn all the professions. ANet even scaled people up to level 80 for the LS1 stuff that wasn’t going to be permanent so no one was left out just due to level.

If it’s your first character; the more game-time it takes to get to level 80 the better. This is because once your character’s 80 a lot of the lower tier (and most expensive) crafting materials are much much harder to come by.

Really, there is no short cut I think, one way or another you’ll be inhibiting yourself in one way.

So, do what you say; personally I level my characters up by enjoying their race-related zones and personal story, in a logical fashion. And I find that most enjoyable.

And eventually you’ll want to explore those zone anyways for you map completion, so you might as well do so at the appropriate level when the rewards (i.e. items to salvage) are the most profitable for you.

The quickest way is Tomes.

If I have no tomes I’ll just craft my way up, I have enough characters that I get plenty of 20/30 scrolls and just use the cheapest way to craft to 400 for each of them. Takes a couple hours to get to 80 like that.

Follow your commander (hopefully they have a brain).
Collect tomes for doing objectives and leveling up.

Do this a you’ll get enough to level to 80 in a few days.
