any servers have balth temple open
The PvE maps aren’t server specific anymore. The game has megaservers now and all the servers are folded together into a few map copies (shards) per map. What you can do is type /ip in chat to get the ip number of the shard you’re on and guest to another server then do /ip again to see if the shard is different.

ANet may give it to you.

I wish I could just send you 500 of them, winterlove. If you do Silver Waste for some time, you won´t be too happy if they drop…

That brings up and interesting question. Is there a good way to get to a different copy of the same map? Not a different server as we knew them before megaservers, but a different shard. All I have been able to do is leave the shard for elsewhere (easiest is to hop into wvw and back) and hoping. There are plenty of cases to do this: finding a teq beach not covered in fish heads, a more advanced sw/dt map, finding an open temple, and so on.
Not to a specific shard. but just to any different one. Outside of already being in a party elsewhere that is. Just rolling the dice and seeing what you get. Of course, to a specific shard would also work, but I am not sure you would know what one you wanted.

There are a couple of ways to try, but no good way to do it for sure. Since the megaservers try to place you on a shard by looking at several variables, such as others of your server being there already, or guild members, etc, I’m not sure going to WvW and coming back is very effective since it will apply the same rules to place you in the appropriate shard. That’s why I suggested guesting, to have the new server put into the calculation instead of your server. However it’s only good for 2 tries, so after that the person could try the zoning out then back and hope method.

I don’t think us players really know too much how the megaserver allocates players into different map shards.
Factors that have been suggested are if there are any of your friends, guildies or similar home world members in the same map. Party members will get priority.
I have a feeling that world members get priority over the other ones (at least in major cities), but I don’t have much evidence to back that notion up. I have noticed it when I travel to LA (to meet up before guild missions) and the small guild I am is often spread out in about 3 versions of LA. The guild consists of primarily Desolation members, which usually get bunched together in one shard, and the rest of us from other servers get split across other ones. It requires some taxiing to get us all into one place.
Of course, it could also depend on timing. For instance, those Deso guild members could have all been hanging around LA for a while, and other people who have just waypointed into Lion’s Arch will be allocated a slightly emptier map to keep the populations even across all of them, if possible.
Anyway- I always try representing my personal guild and remove myself from my party when trying to roll for a different version of the map. It doesn’t usually work unless there are many map shards (e.g. Silverwastes).
@OP: Try using the LFG ask “Looking for open/uncontested Balthazar Temple” or similar. Aside from regularly checking the maps (especially during peak times), there’s not much you can do. You could farm SW in the mean time, whilst waiting on it to open- as mentioned, it’s a very easy way to get a bunch of obsidian shards (amongst other things).

If you play on EU server try guesting to a server of another language. I am on a
german server, and use normaly Desolation and Fort Ranik for example.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
time is 3:50am central time, are there any servers that have Balthazar temple open I need to get some obsidian shards
My advice is to do SW chest runs. You’ll get plenty of obsidian shards as well as other things to fund your goal at getting a legendary.
If your set in wanting to go to an open Balth temple, put in a LFG around reset time. Someone that is in the map should ferry you over.
