Can this be a thing please? Some diversity in the light armor skin variety would be awesome. Medium armor too.

As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.

I would definitely love more variety in the armor. No matter if its light, medium, or heavy. I feel like it’s hard to create something cool early in your levels and sometimes in the late levels too.

I want more mundane armor styles like that of Dark Souls.

I just google image searched “Battlemage”. Let’s see… we’ve got… people in robes, people in armour, people in clothing, a bikini or two…

So to me, it looks like asking if “battlemage armour” can be a thing is like asking if we could please get practically anything to wear.

In which case, we already have battlemage armour! Request pre-granted.

battlemage armor implies(impressed you’ve never come across the term and had to google it) robes mixed with some form of protective light metalworks.

I have come across the term.

Problem is, “battlemage” doesn’t mean the same thing to everyone, clearly, given the varied results from Google. So asking for “battlemage armour” without giving an example of what “battlemage” means doesn’t help.

battlemage is a mage that fights on the frontline, and considering every magic using class in this game does that, maybe light armor can start to reflect it.

Just like not every warrior wears an armor, and not everyone wearing an armor is a warrior, not every battlemage wears battlemage armor. Do the same search, but for the full term (“Battlemage armor”), and you will find the results to be much more consistent.

Actions, not words.

I just did.

Seventh result was from GW2, interestingly enough.

Not knowing what Battlemage armor looks like since I’ve only played gw, I googled it also. Found a mishmash of styles. Among them, some pictures from Guild Wars 2, armor that looks like regular chain mail armor, robes of various types as well as half naked women.

Perhaps OP could post some pictures of what exactly he means by that term since googling doesn’t clarify it.

A good example of Battlemage armor would be the robes/armor worn by Jedi Guardians in SWTOR, or a cartoony example would be Obi Wan in the Clone Wars cartoons (either).

Basically its a getup that combines the flexibility for casting (legs and arms mostly protected by cloth) along with some form of hard armor over the torso.
